ok naman yung bendix replacement pads. the huge price difference does make you think twice about getting OEM pads. in my experience stopping power is ok and comparable to that of OEM pads. just make sure to check the right bendix for your ride, and whether those are original Bendix pads.

i agree with IMm, Bendix are good replacement for OEM but IMO breaks are one of the car's components na di dapat tipirin kasi isa yan sa mga safety features nang sasakyan na pwede magligtas satin though mahal panatag naman loob mo.

    Chip,
m not so sure how you tell the originals from the fakes. maybe it would be safe to buy from a reputable shop so that you get the originals.

yep. bendix are great brake pads. un lang medyo maingay nga pag nagtagal.

in my case, di bale na wag umandar sasakyan ko WAG lang di magpreno. it well worth if it is your life you are trying to invest on.

Ok din ang Bendix as long as they are not fake. Bendix are definitely cheaper than your OEMs but what you pay in premium for the OEMs is the longer service life you get from them. In my previous Nissan I used the OEMs for almost 5 years before replacing them. I friend of mine used a replacement at napakinabangan lang niya in less then two years.

As for Bendix metal kings ata... i read in other boards that it eats up rotors. Metallic race pads sya that it requires a high heat temp range para kumapit... I think for track use lang talaga.

Kung may budget ka ...get the EBC Greenstuff. Mahal pero worth it :D

Yung OEM pads ng Kia Besta dati naubos ko within one year. Magmula noon hindi na ako gumamit ng OEM Kia pads. They suck!

Bendix ok na brand iyan. They supply OEM pads to a lot of automobile manufacturers.

chip::: bendix pads are a-ok as long as you get ORIG bendix. Ang hirap sa panahon ngayon, pati replacement parts ang daming peke! Ang ganda pa nag pagkaka-imitate. You'd better be careful about where and what you buy.

IMHO, get the replacement pads. Even if the OEMs last a bit longer, imagine, nakapag-palit ka ng mga 3 replacements for the price (more or less)

pad life depends on driving style. i used up my oem mitsu pads in less than 2 years, even managed to damage the rotor because it got scored =)

i know of some people who go through aftermarket pads in a matter of months.

The metallic pads of Bendix definitely go through rotors, but that is relative compared to other high-end pads from WINMAX, Project U, ENDLESS, Ferodo and Pagid.

Fake / really cheap pads glaze when subjected to hard use i.e. they lose their friction coefficient when subjected to high temperatures. Very dangerous when running fast.

Hi Chip. Napalitan mo na ba brake pads mo? IMHO, oks na oks ang Bendix pads. Had it own my Corolla now for 3 years (4 pa nga ata eh). Di pa naman siya kelangan palitan (papalinis ko nga lang muna). 8)

I have been using Bendix Metal Kings for quite a while na. They grip very well but they will wear out your rotors a bit faster than stock though. Price-wise, they cost just as much as OEM brake pads. :D
