Just want to share my latest mods I did this weekend. Replaced the 4-spoked steering wheel with ///M5 steering wheel with black stitching. A 30-minute DIY installation. New steering wheel has a much bigger grip and has the thumb rests. And everything else including audio control, phone control, etc. but I lost the heated option from the old one.

Salamat. Steering wheel cost $325 + round airbag $375. Already discounted price from my dealer.

I had to buy new set of airbag. Completely different fit. Bastards.I think BMW did it in purpose to suck up your hard earned money as much as they can. Thank God someone bought my orig steering wheel. It fits on latest model 3 series, 5 series and even 7 series.

    Cheers

Thanks sa compliment. Tagal kong niligawan si misis para sa bagong mods. My dealer wanted $100 for 30 min installation. I stick out my middle finger (inside my pocket though) And I said forget it, I'll do it myself.

    Thanks.

Nice! I didn't realize the M5 had the exact same steering wheel as the M3

    M54 Powered,
    Thanks bro.
To be precise...M3 steering wheel have the colored stitching....but on the 2002-2003 5-series with sports package, you will get the M-steering wheel with black stiching.

Hey, I'd love to see pics of your M5, do you have one on the album here?

    Cheers[/b]

    Looks dope, Litespeed! Congratulations!

You know what would look good with that new steering wheel? Wood steering wheel trim to match your standard trim. That would look sweet!

Thanks bro. I agreed with you about the dark poplar wood trim to match my trims. Only one place here I know that custom made it for this M5 s.wheel. Mobile Innovation in NJ. You probably heard about them already. They can charge arm and leg though. But they do excellent job. Here's the same M5 wheel they did last summer.

    FINISHED PRODUCT

BTW, I'd love to see some pics of your M3
    Pls post them

regarding trims, here's another option - silver CF trims on the steering wheel and interior :D

of course, it's made by AC Schnitzer so prepare to sell your firstborn to afford it... :o
