My 2000 Civic is getting sign of wear.
Ride is now shaky and uncomfortable, loosing some steering control and overall manueverability has deteriorated slightly. I miss the old days of having one of the best maneuveable ride.

I don't have any problem of getting an OEM shocks (not sure of the price though) but if you can suggest a better shock at almost the same price then I might consider that.
Should I go for fluid or gas for this type of ride.
My objective is to retain the brand new riding comfort of my civic.
Can you please help me decide which shocks to buy.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure the problem is with the shocks? Based on what you described I dont think its your shocks that need replacing.

Does the car seem to bounce more now when going over humps or rough roads? If yes then replace your shock absorbers. If not check the wheel balance, tire condition, suspension bushings, engine mounts and so on...

Definitely its shock. When I pushed the car body on four corners it bounce more than once. Very obvious that there is no more dampening action of the shocks. Wheel are aligned perfectly and other underchasis parts are all in good condition done by cruven. Gas ba o fluid type ang dapat kong ipalit?

gas is a bit stiffer but better on the performance aspect. liquid is more comfy pero mas bouncy/maalon ang ride.

Field Master, Ako rin naka 2000 na Civic (ES). Just had my front shocks replaced with KYB...5,200 isa. Ni-replace ko na rin tie rod, ball joint and stabilizer link. Nawala yung kalampag, langit-ngit and vibrations. Sarap na ng ride ulit! I can't compare it though to how it was when the car was brand new cause I hardly remember it anymore. Hope this helps!

Question though, diba you had your underchassis parts re-conditioned by Cruven? I hear they also repair/modify shocks and refill them with Nitro...ayaw mo ba pa-repair sa kanila? Curious din kasi ako about it eh.

I think so yes..mga magkano ba Kayaba for my ES na Civic?

I asked for the price para sa EK naman 1,800 daw.

AFAIK, yung ES model ng Civic ay unang lumabas ng year 2001. 2000 model Civik are still EK series.

*zeagel : The Civic 2000 model is an EK model ( model 96-00 ). While the ES starts from 2001 - 'til now.
I think eto ang grouping nyan :
    96-00 Civic (EK)
    01-05 Civic (ES)

Thank you sir. The reason why I ask kasi is that I have a source for EK shocks and spring height adjustable bolt on which we can get at the price of OEM shocks.

Why don't you try refilling at Cruven or Zee first? It's only 2,800 all in all, same price as 1 piece of KYB.
