    Car's a Sentra N16. Ano kaya posibleng pinagmumulan nito? Attempt to solve so far:

    -Check stab link (ok pa)
    -Replace shock absorbers (bump stops have failed)
    -Replace wheel bearings
    -Replace rack end

    The most recent being the rack end. Basically pag nagmamaniobra ako at may lubak, paakyat, or pababa kumakatok. Kahit gaano kababaw ng lubak, ramp, or hump, kumakatok. Minsan kahit pino yung daan at may onting hump lang kumakatok na siya. Mas common rin siyang kumakatok kapag sumaktong nagmamaniobra ako at may hump or lubak na madadaanan yung mga gulong habang minamaniobra ko.

    Medyo tight na yung budget sa pagawa so the more accurate it can be pin-pointed the better. Ang hirap kasi sa ibang shops ngayon (especially dealership nitong sasakyan) sasabihin ito sira, then pagkabit nandoon pa rin pero di na papatanggal yung pinalitan nila kasi sasabihin sa'yo na pabigay na rin so okay na rin na pinalitan (na minsan naman di pala). Manganganak lang yung issue kumbaga.

    most likely cv joint. had that problem before. its very evident yan kapag medyo paliko ka. check mo kung mas noticeable din ito during arangkada.

    Yup noticeable din pag arangkada. The bushings were replaced yesterday but to no avail. I guess I'll have the CV joints checked na rin.

    UPDATE: Buo pa raw CV Joint... remaining na lang would be the ball joint plus caliper grease. Undergoing repair at the moment then hopefully yun nga root cause nito.

    may suspension arm bushing ba ang sentra?
    kung meron, check mo kung wornout na. baka tumatama na yung bolt sa washer/suspension arm which creates that knocking sound. sa lancer kasi ganito.

    Equipped with McPherson strut ba yung kotse mga chief? Not sure pero, have you checked them (kung meron man)? Maybe its bent. A usual test is to hold the lock nut and turn the rod with a large screwdriver or any turning device. If the top of the tire goes out (with wheels dead ahead position) then its probably bent. Replace then.

    i suggest unahin mo muna yung ball joint.

    based from your description, nag appear ang problem pag may lubak... its a common ball joint issue.. usually worn out na, may alog. pag malalala na, this problem is sometimes mas noticeable pag nagmamaniobra kasi may grinding sound.

    but there is also that possibility na buo pa yung ball joint pero ang maluwag naman ay yung kinakabitan niya sa suspension. dapat very tight parin pag press otherwise kakalog pag may lubak. it happens pag nagpapalit ng ball joint at mali ang pag press in or manual lang ginagawa. another cause is replacement yung unang ikinabit na medyo mas malaki ang diameter at nung masira pinalitan ng ibang brand but so happend na maliit naman kaya pag nagtagal aalog din..

    kung both scenario ok, then check mo yung rack and pinion mo kung maluwag na yung bushing. it also produces similar sound pag nalubak. you can check by lifting the front tires. let someone do the steering and hold mo yung R/P and observe kung nag move sya pag even a little.. if yes, palitan mo yung 2 bushings para maging tight uli. HTH
