open your driver's door and check the doorjamb (right under the latch on the doorframe)....or your owner's manual if you have it.
it should tell you all you need to know.
M54 Powered: just checked the doorjamb and i found it there. it says 30 for the front and 29 for the back tires. thanks a lot!
however, what would be the effect if the pressure is slightly higher? for example 32?
and how come the ones at the back are supposed to have lower pressure?
sorry for these very techie questions, i acquired this car just a few weeks ago.
higher pressure tires will wear out faster, less traction, and bumpier ride.
front tires have higher pressures because they carry the load of the engine. however, SUVs and pickups sometimes have higher pressure for rear tires if they will carry heavy loads in the bed or will use the vehicle for towing.
Signature
High pressure = less rolling resistance = better fuel economy. But at the expense of less traction and a bumpier ride and excess wear at the center part of the tire.
Low pressure is the opposite. The shoulders of the tire will wear faster and there is a tendency to overheat the tires which may cause a blow out.
Btw, usually nangyayari lang ang mga bagay na ito when you go significantly above or significantly below the correct tire pressure.

boybi, so pag mataba pala ang driver dapat mas mataas ang pressure sa harap. :D
thanks again guys!
32 pounds per square inch... ok lang but when your tires heat up after use, you can see that your pressure is now 35 to 38psi.
np...glad i could help!Originally posted by jamesbond
