August 26th, 2008 05:53 PM #1Patulong naman po mga tsikot gurus. Kaninang umaga nang pinaandar ko sa garahe yung starex ko, napansin ko na pag iniikot ko yung manibela, anumang direksyon, uugong at may konting vibration yung makina. May tunog din akong nadidinig (not sure where exactly it's coming from) hindi ko alam kung paano i describe pero kasing tunog ng naka engage na break at pilit na iniikot yung gulong.
Para masigurado na sa steering wheel ang dahilan ng kakaibang tunog, inatras abante ko siya at the same time steer. Confirmed nga na may steering problem. Nang bumaba ako, nakita ko sa ilalim ng sasakyan na madaming fluid na tumagas...apparently, tumagas siya habang atras abante ko siya.
Ano po sa tingin niyo ang sira niya? Posible kayang mahal ang aabutin ng repair kung sakali.
By the way, tuwing weekends ko lang ginagamit ito, at last weekend di ko siya nilabas. Related kaya ang cause ng problema sa di araw araw na pag papaandar sa kanya.

You won't lose that much fluid overnight if the leak is coming from your gearbox or pump. COuld be that you have a busted hose wherein turning the wheel makes it lose more fluid because of the pressure built-up.

Actually papaluwas na ako ng Manila noong nadiscover ko iyong problem kaya wala na akong time na i check pa kung saan naggagaling iyong leak. Ipinagbilin ko na lang na tumawag ng mekaniko at i check. After reading the links related to my problem, it made me feel that it's most likely a busted hose at tumagas iyon ng marami nang i ikot ko yong wheels. I just hope na kayang gawin ng mekaniko sa amin at di na kailangan pang dalhin sa casa para di na ako gumastos ng malaki. My van is now 4.5 years and travelled 116 thousand kilometers kaya out of warranty na at hanggat kayang gawin sa labas, hindi ko na siya dadalhin pa sa casa na sobrang taas magpresyo.

Basta po sa mga reputable shops kaya yan. Libre naman ang check-up, if in doubt you can also try and compare for the casa estimate - you’re last resort if the part (if for OEM) is not available in local auto supplies.

^^^It can as long as di matutuyuan ng ATF/PS fluid on the way. dala ka na lang ng pang top up para wag magka hangin. good luck
