April 4th, 2003 03:58 PM #1I have an 8 month old strada. I want to upgrade to improve my ride comfort. I am thinking of changing my stock tires(Bridgestone Dueler H/T) and shock absorbers. Kaso I can't afford to have both. I have a limited budget. I would like to change my tires to Yokohama Geolandar AT+2. Kung shocks naman, I would like to upgrade to OME or Rancho. Which of the two will I prioritize that will give me a noticeable change in ride comfort?

April 4th, 2003 05:07 PM #2mangyan he..he funny ako rin nasa situation mo last year he..he
the reason i changed my shocks first is because they are busted, rear shocks only
but beforehand i was saving for an All terrain tire because i do trailing once in a while,
Bstone H/T 689 failed me twice, labas na wires and nagka bukol,
so habang may value pa yang H/T 689 mo, pa trade mo na agad
remember nasa gulong nakasalalay ang buhay mo pag nasa daan
mind you pala aftermarket shocks are stiffer than OEM parts
why not get a leaf spring kit OEM from mitsubishi na mas softer ride
alam ko meron yun mas softer ang ride i forgot the part name
(+) positive yata or
(-) negative kasi yung
(N) ang nakalagay sa OEM strada

i think immediate ride comfort can be realized by changing the shocks first. mas diretso yan sa suspension to the body eh.

April 4th, 2003 06:16 PM #4Kimpoy: Sir, tama kayo. Dapat i-prioritize ko muna ang safety over comfort. I read and heard many bad reviews about Bstone Dueler H/T. Madali daw sumabog, matalbog at maingay.

if your tires are nearly worn out.... yun muna siguro. If your shocks are worn out, yun muna siguro  Kidding aside, replace the component which is more likely to be at the end of its service life. Upgrade na, preventive maintenance pa

April 4th, 2003 09:36 PM #7At 8 months, home use, I think aabutin ka ng 2 years without even changing your shocks. Unahin mo na ung tires (sigurado ka ba na yung brand mo na napili would give you the riding comfort you're dreaming off??)
Tapos bili ka ng Red or Yellow paint in canister at sprayan mo yung OEM shocks mo...tapos na problema mo sa shocks aesthetics :lol::lol:
Kung softer ride at hindi ka naman nagloload ng more than 500kg sa pickup mo, alisan mo na lang ng leaf-spring the third one na maliit yata (im not sure kasi frontier ride ko). Wala pang P1,000 gastos mo and you can always put it back.
my 2 cents.
