HELP! Loud Noise After Replacement of Tires

I had 4 tires replaced last month. The shop told me that the front of my car needed camber correction and wheel alignment. They showed me the numbers on the screen and so I agreed. I have had this done before with my AE101 and had no problems. I didn't feel good and cringed as I saw the mechanic hitting on the part (dunno what it is called) to correct the numbers. Looking back, I should have just told him to stop.

As I was driving home I noticed that my car had loud kalampag coming from the front driver's side of the car!!! Before I had my tires replaced, it drove like it were brand new. It's a 5 year old car that's 100% quiet, cool AC, fresh interior. I took pride in that! No kalamapag whatsoever so I was very disappointed with the kalampag after replacing my tires!!!

I don't know how to have this repaired. I am desperate because I have become irritable driving my car with kalampag and I don't feel safe with all the noise I am hearing. Baka bigla na lang humiwalay gulong ko sa auto My Mom also made a comment that my car has kalampag! The shop said I should bring the car back within 6 mos for a free camber correction and alignment but I am hesitant baka lalo nilang sirain.

I just paid P18,400 to make my perfectly quiet car drive like a taxi!!! One thing I noticed though was the steering became lighter after I replaced my tires. I am not sure if that was the trade off for the kalampag. But I would rather have a "just right" steering with no kalampag than light steering with kalampag.

Have you consulted your dealer? They, afterall, should have the right training and information about your vehicle's parameters.

No. It's out of warranty na kasi. But I am thinking if I should bring the car there for consultation re the noise. The problem is I also have issues with the casa

Ma'am, your AE 101 was designed with only the front toe, rear toe and thrust angle adjustment provision. Your camber angle should still be within range unless your car had been in a collision or you drove on severely rough roads for a long period. If your strut mounts are tired or your control arms bushings are worn or tired, it will change camber but will still be within range. Don't buy unnecessary "repairs" kuno. Your "mechanic's favorite tool must be a hammer. His name must be Thor[emoji1]

balik mo lang then sabihin mo ano observation mo... at baka meron silang hindi nahigpitan mabuti...

hindi naman agad agad masisira yan sa kunting pokpok...

kung meron man... minor lang damage lang yan...

Bring your car to Bridgestone. When I had my tires changed, I had the alignment fixed. Prices are reasonable. Alignment cost P800 for the front. They will give you a quote before proceeding. I was intimidated of the place before kasi they had high end cars & race cars there, but quite surprised the prices are very reasonable.
