November 27th, 2007 11:58 AM #1natangal yung ulo ng nut, naiwan yung threaded part sa stud. flush pa naman sya sa mags. napuwersa sa paghigpit kasi
panu ko papalitan or tanggalin yung gulong ko?
nagtanung ako sa servitek, acetyline daw gagamitin??
baka may ma recommend kayo shops na alam talaga yung gagawin.

AFAIK pwedeng palitan yung wheel lugs without the use of acetyline. Anong kotse yan?

Di ko maintidihan yung kwento hehehe
Pero kung yung bolt lang ang naputol, madali lang yang palitan. Force fitted lang naman yan mga lug nut sa axle shaft ends, pukpukin mo lang at lalabas na yan sa kabila. Then punta ka sa auto supply at bumili ka ng lug nut sabihin mo lang kung anong brand ng auto mo wala pa yatang P50 ang isa nyan. Isuot mo yung lug nut sa likod then gamitin mo yung nut para ipanghigpit sa lug bolt para yumakap uli sa axle shaft, no need to machine shop or machine press, di rin kailangan pang tanggalin ang axle shaft. Ilang beses na kong nagpalit nyang lug nut dahil palaging napuputol ng utol ko pag nagapapalit ng gulong, masyadong malakas yung utol ko na maghipit ng turnilyo kaya palaging napuputol

nagtanung tanung din ako sa mga kilalang mekaniko. bili daw ng bagong bolt (may spline daw yun) para mapalitan yung dati.
alam ko konting pukpok lang tanggal na yung bolt,
problema nakahigpit pa rin yung mga dating nut/lugs na naputol, yung ulo lang nabali kasi, 3 pa. kaya di ko na mapatakbo since dalawa na lang yung wheel nut sa gulong.
baka tom mapasyalan ng mech friend ko. update ko dito

A picture will be very helpful.
What tool do you use to loosen the nut?
How many studs does your wheel have? How many nuts was damaged?
I am assuming you dont want to use acetylene is to avoid damage to the mags. If you can see the stud, drill it progressively with larger bit size until the stud is wiped out and nut displaced. Be sure to center punch it. Problem is a new wheel stud is necessary.

A mechanic can easily do that, ako nga tinuruan lang ni erpats kung paano and the rest is very easy.
Tama may spline yung lug nut na siyang force fitted doon sa butas ng axle shaft ends at the same time may spline/groove din yung sa axle shaft. Pupukin mo lang yung nabali na stud lalabas na yun sa likod. Pag ibinalik mo naman yung replacement gagamitan mo lang naman ng nut niya para humigpit at yumakap uli yung lug nut kusa namang yayakap yung sa spline/groove niya into place.
Puede mong ipagawa sa mekaniko, di naman siguro papawisan yung mekaniko dito kasi simple lang ito.

I think Guido's problem now is how to remove the mags.
Matatanggal lang ang lugs kung wala ang rotor/drum. But with the mags still attached that will be impossible.
