it's been 3 years since i last changed the brake fluid on the honda so i'll be replacing the fluid, change brake pads, and do general brake service

what to use on the caliper pins that's locally available? i have PLAIN silicone grease lying around, is that ok? it doesn't have any moly or graphite additives it's just a thick plain silicone grease

Meron sachet ng Wurth caliper grease. Around 75 pesos nung Car show sa SMX sa Wurth Booth. Good for 4 calipers na.

the grease used behind the brake pads is different

the wurth grease they're talking about goes into the slider pins. silicone so it won't hurt the rubber boots of the pins. i used to have a ford lynx w/ seized caliper because of neglecting the slider pins so lesson learned LOL

So far ok naman.

I've been reading about grease/lube for the brakes in the forum, for about an hour na. Basically, there are 2 brands, wurth and bendix, na for brakes talaga. Does the 2 products function differently? Somepone posted na yung wurth is pang caliper boot lang, while I read online na yung Bendix, is applicable for metal to metal and metal to rubber.

Eto yun nilagay ko sa caliper pin ko bro, along with the rubber boot. Im not worried too much about the vios since around 1k lang yun repair kit.

I haven't tried this, but I think this good for metal to metal and metal to rubber.

1 lube for all brake parts:

Amazon.com: Permatex 8653 Silicone Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant, 8 fl. oz.: Automotive
