March 28th, 2007 03:31 PM #1Anyone had 1st hand experience on Cruven's shocks conversion and KYB gas-a-just?
How do you compare the 2 in terms of ride comfort and durability?
On cost perspective, Cruven has the upper-hand *600 per shocks.
Thanks

i'm pretty sure the Cruven version sucks. i have 'em right now.
there is almost no damping whatsoever. it's like you're on (shaky) stilts. kung laspag na shocks mo, a Cruven job will bring up your ride height again para di sumasayad yung ilalim mo sa humps. but, as there's almost no damping, it's a shaky ride (para kang nasa duyan......)
but i'm not complaining, because it's 600 pesos per shock.

Go with the KYB's... Per my experience, the refills get soft over time and you may end up with inconsistent damping rates on different sides of the car.
