    guys question lang. masyado kasi malaki ang play ng manibela ng oldskul lancer ko... '78 lancer ito. kasi naikot na yung steering by about 1/4 of a turn pero di pa din gumagalaw ang gulong. medyo delikado na kasi hirap na ihandle. ano kaya solusyon dito? should i replace parts or kaya i-refurbish ito sa zee? if may papalitan, any ideas kung ano naman?

    baka adjustment lang.have it checked muna.hopefully readjustment lang

    pa tsek mo muna ang gear box kung hindi pa sagad ang adjustment (tensioning screw yata iyon)
    or baka worn out na bearing mo.sa loob ng gear box..kung may leak ng oil .
    ipa overhaul mo na din .
    para isang gawaan na lang (tsek ng bearing and gears, palit ng oil )

    thanks sa replies.na-adjust na ito a few months back pero bumalik din eh... may shop ba kayo marecommend to do these kinds of check up? thanks

    sabi nina toti dati they can repair gearboxes din daw.

    Buhayin ko lang.

    Nag-adjust ako sa gearbox (gear box ba yun?) nawala ang freeplay pero bumigat naman ang manibela. May sira na kaya gearbox ko? Gusto ko yung dati malambot pero walang freeplay.

    Chances are baka masyado mo nahigpitan. Usually freeplay comes from rubber components, adjustment is not usually done dahil yun yung calibration nung gearbox. If I were you ibalik mo sa dati then replace the rubber components.

    check tierods, ball joints, bushings and links muna before adjusting the gearbox. pag sobra adjust bibigat talaga ang manibela. pede pong overhaul ang gearbox.

    Hindi naman masyadong mahigpit yung ginawa ko bale wala pang isang ikot, nasa 1/4 lang cguro. Yung tie rods, ball joints, bushings ok pa naman. Dati ini-adjust na din namin tapos bumalik ulit yung freeplay niya. Yung pangalawang adjust ko ayon bumigat na manibela.

    Pa check ko na lang para mas sigurado hindi ko rin lang alam gawin.

    If the boots look intact, the main ball joints inside them may be worn na, and that accounts for the freeplay.

    Believe me, I've had my all joints done and even if they looked OK (sira lang yung boot), the metal all joint mismo was so loose and worn I could bend it myself.

    The new one took considerable force to bend the new all joint.

    Kung small adjustment lang ginawa mo maybe the gearbox was sensitive enough na small adjustments, big change.
