March 28th, 2007 11:08 PM #1just want to ask if there is already an electric power steering kit available dito satin (Philippine market)? yung tipong pag binili mo ay salpak na lang sa kotse. i think mas maganda tong option than to convert the "pawis steering" car with the usual hydraulic convertion. has anybody tried one before? thanks

August 13th, 2007 12:41 PM #4i've been thinking of this for months na because of my leaky steering rack. though it might be a good option or it can be fabricated.
researched on it on the net and some cars cars abroad have been using it already.
yung ibang design simple lang (motor power is transmitted to the steering shaft).
yung iba mejo complicated (the steering rack instead of having fluid inside, has electrical components resembling a motor or something like that)
ang key dito sa electric power steering ay yung mga sensors na magdedetermine ng amount of power assist needed etc. at syempre yung safety mechanism in place in case magka aberya sa electricals. baka nga naman kabig ka sa kanan tapos sa kaliwa lumiko hehehe
sana nga meron makapag fabricate niya locally. kahit yung ikakabit lang yung motor sa steering shaft or the pinion.

sir niky said that hyundai accent uses this...
an electrical aircon compressor (if it exists) is a very good replacement too.
think of how much gas savings and power gained by this... these are the real gas saving gadgets.

Alam ko yung Honda City EPS na rin since its debut (2001/2002). Baka may surplus na ng ganito sa Banawe.

February 2nd, 2017 01:21 AM #10Hi! Newbie here. I'm also looking for information about converting our Suzuki APV (actually china brand with suzuki components) to electronic power assisted steering. Magkano kaya aabutin if sa Evangelista?
