Hi I'm having a break problem, may tumutunog or lumalagatak kapag nagbe-break ako. It started after ko magpa-tune up sa honda caloocan. Malakas yung tunog nya dati so I had it checked several times pero d parin madali ng mga mechanic sa iba't ibang talyer. Nung una..pina-refacing lang yung brake disc pero bumalik kagad yung tunog. The 2nd time sa ibang pagawaan naman, sabi madumi lang daw so nilinis tapos they used sand paper para kiskisin yung brake disc para matanggal daw yung dumi. The 3rd time around sa ibang pagawaan ulit, they said baka pangit daw yung brake pad na ginamit ko so they recommended me a different brake pad which is good and australian made and also clean, check the front/rear caliper, adjust brake system, refacing ulit ng brake disc. Medyo matagal nawala pero bumalik ulit pero medyo humina na yung tunog. Anyone knows what's the problem or san ok patingin to that specializes sa ganitong problem?

If the rotor was not turned right it will cause the click sound, also your new break pads were rattling sound with out anti rattle pads you could be hearing the pads rattle. This can also happen on drum brakes all springs should be replaced with each brake job. Check on the rotor thicknes if within the specs. and make sure they are not warp. Base on your car its 99 model, time to replace those rotor.

Another observation pa pala...when the road is wet nawawala yung tunog. Now i just had my suspension fixed and tinanong ko narin yung mechanic dun...sabi nya may halong bakal or tanso yung pad ko kaya dumidikit sa rotor disc. Bendix brake pad gamit ko pero he told me to look for Bendix General kasi walang halong bakal yun. Alam nyo ba to mga sir? Sabi din nya yung bendix na may halong bakal is only used for racing kasi mas kumakapit. that makes me wonder kung ganun nga e di yung mga racing car maingay din kapag nagbreak??

Walang kaso yan. Yong sinabi ng mechaniko na may halong bakal, yan ang "semi metallic pad" million ang gamagamit ng ganyan. Gamit ko ay gayan din.

Now I think I know. The squeeeker on the Brake Pad (its a poited metal like an arrow) is letting you know that you need new Pads, before they start chewing up your disc brake rotor.... replace it.

Wala pa atang 1 year sakin yung break pad. Makapal pa sya. After lihain ng mechanic yung pads, nawala na yung tunog pero i'm sure its just a matter of time babalik ulit yun. Same thing always happen.
