May nabili ako last time sa Ace Hardware, RedX brand, 899.00 or 999.00 on sale yon, 2 tons capacity. Wala pang 1 year, couldn't hold a lift na, bumababa. Twice ko nirepair, leaking pa rin. Free jack sa sasakyan, usually scissor jack.

normally, para sa cars lang yung 2 ton jack...

I suggest a bigger one for your SUV especially if you plan to leave the car lifted for an hour or more.

Suggest ko din po, get Jack Stands as well, extra measure of safety.

All jacks fail sometimes, especially kung mura lang. Stay safe.

    my wigo has scissors jack.
    my innova has bottle jack.
what does your fortuner come with, po? i am confident, they won't supply it with a jack not commensurate to its weight.

i also bought that ace alligator jack, but i haven't used it, since i bought it years ago.

the old scissors jacks 'ala 80s are very nice.

ginagamitan ko ng ramp / jack stand and yun redx pang support lang incase bumigay yun jack stand

gusto ko bumili nun pang low profile tapos 5 tons yata pero mahal na masyado

Hydraulic bottle jack? Or screw type bottle jack? Sa mitsubishi adventure dual action hydraulic bottle jack ang kasama.. mas madaling mag angat kasi after masagad yung unang piston may isa pa ulit na lalabas

"two step hydraulic + screw bottle jack."
step 1: adjust initial height by turning the top.
step 2: pump the lever up and down, to lift the car.

i always have a block of wood out back. for increasing initial lift height.

    may pang-kalso ng gulong.
may pangalawang piraso na ginagamit pampataas ng jack, kung kakailanganin... did this only once.. nakakatakot.. but at that time, i had no choice.
but one should always park the vehicle on a level surface, to minimize the car from rolling, once jacked up.

Please take note that crocodile jack / garage floor jack is not ideal to use on roads or on any rough surface.
It has small wheels that needs to move as the vehicle is being lifted. Those small wheels will have difficulty handling concrete roads especially rough ones.

For me, it is better to use the bottle jack.

i have used crocodile jacks on these so-called rough surfaces.
i still prefer them over the bottle jacks.
unlike bottle jacks that have a tendency to topple over, even on flat surfaces, crocodiles do not topple over. and the amount of lateral movement they do, considering the surface area of the safety cupped lifting head, is minimal naman as to be relatively "non-dangerous". gumagalaw rin nang kaunti yung kotse, to make up for the slight lateral movement at the jacking points used by crocodiles.

May crocodile jack na ako na bumaliko yung arms just because hindi maka usod yung gulong. It doesnt matter kung unti lang ang dapa iusod niyan. pag ndi yan gumulong, the stress will be transferred to other parts at yung pinamahuna ang bibigay.
