Have a certified mechanic bleed the lines on both rear brakes and have the master cylinder checked as well.

brake bleeding is the process where the mechanic removes or bleeds air from brakes.

"dump" is change brake fluid. Recommended every 2 years or so. Brake fluid absorbs moisture. When its saturated with moisture, it loses its ability to resist boiling and may cause brake failure. Here is a good explanation:

Bleeding the brakes is when you flush air that may be found in the brake fluid line.

Usually, we replace the brake fluid itself during the process which is essential maintenance. The mechanic may ask you to pump the brake pedal several times and lets you hold it. The mechanic then opens the bleeder valve to let out fluid and air, then closes the valve after the pedal has set. This process is done to prevent air being sucked back in through the valve. The process is repeated as many times as needed for each brake.

may napanood ako sa TV recently about replacing the brake fluid.

sa Shell they use a vaccum for draining the fluid. wala nang bombahan. any idea how much this is?

    thanks
