The ABS light of my Sportage turned on last Saturday & today, I brought it to Bridgestone Alabang. Tech cleaned the sensors & scanned, no fault codes detected but the light is still on. What could be the problem? I read somewhere I can try to disconnect the battery to reset the computer. How long will I keep it disconnected?

A solid ABS light can mean a lot of things... it can mean low brake fluid level, faulty ABS sensor, or a faulty ABS module.

Check you user manual first. It may have slightly different meanings with different cars.

It could be the brake light switch.

Sa Kia forums, to reset the abs light, unplug the positive battery cable then hold down the brakes until the electricity is drained from the ecu. Reattach the positive terminal & the light should be gone. Still thinking if I should try it.

Malamang. Sabi rin sa Kia Forums, not all scanners can pull the codes. Pero, I doubt Kung libre.

If you know a shop that has scanners that can check the ABS module, that would be easier than the casa.

Yung affordable OBD2 scanners usually wala capability to read and reset the ABS and seatbelt modules.

Nope, most usual daily drivers don’t have the electronics to monitor brake pad wear. Unless maybe you own a BMW M or Merc AMG or Audi RS or a Porsche car.

Nakakapagtaka ng Bridgestone Alabang sa Commerce Center kung bakit cheap scanner nila.

Bago mag fail yung ABS, may incidents na nag flicker yung seatbelt warning light at yung ABS light, on different occasions. Ok na naman ngayon yung seatbelt light.
