December 13th, 2011 02:19 PM #3Pinacheck ko kasi sa Toyota casa. Isa sa findings nila nawala yung clamp. Mas maganda sana kung clamp talaga ipalit. Puede pala tie cable lang as replacement?

Most auto supplies should have IMO. I got several a few weeks back when i had my CV joint repacked (the clamps/ties were made of steel).
If you go to Banawe, try Toyorama near E. Rod.

the nylon tie strap can be used for steering rack and pinion boot but not for birfield joints. the joints spin several thousand times in one trip and the nylon tie strap can slip off the joint unlike the r/p boot that moves slowly and seldom. for your birfield joints you can use either the "band-it" type or the oetiker type that are made of malleable stainless steel

December 19th, 2011 12:19 PM #7Sa steering bolt yung boot clamp, buti na lang. Yung plastic na lang ang pinalagay ko for only 25 pesos. Hehe! Ayos na! Thanks!
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
