Anu ba mas maganda sa dalawa electronic or conventional power steering, in terms of safety, cost pag nasira, kaya ba ito sa labas if incase wala nang warranty ang unit(electronic).........

so far alam ko lang may EPS--electric power steering are the following:

jazz, city, channa benni(gulat kayo noh?), civic FD...

well, advantage nun is instead na hydraulic pump na driven ng makina ang ginagamit, sariling electric motor. kaya theoretically, will not rob engine power(well, halos negligible naman yung robbed power na yun), kasi no load sa engine.

well, speed sensitive na talaga mga yun, featherlight at stand still, rock-hard at high speed.

now if the ford focus TDCi/ hyundai getz/accent ay EPS din, mas masaya yun... A/C nalang ang engine load hehehe

kung sa maintenance, well, mas malinis yun kasi no more fluids to maintain. pero if pinaglaruan, prone sa overheat yung motor, mararambaman mo biglang bibigat..pero kung normal use, di naman iinit yung motor nun.

me, well, gusto ko din EPS, pero if only yung steering rack set up is above, like sa gen2 crv... malayo sa tubig baha..

kung may alam ka nagcoconvert to EPS, let me know, papalit ako ng rack kasi sa maxima ko..kung wala, then conventional way parin hehehe

the new vios is EPS rin daw.

if you can convert to EPS, why not? it's the real thing. unlike those gadgets claiming increase of power and mileage na peke naman. kahit kunting load lang ang power steering, it's still would help. notice when you steer too much, you would notice a few drop of RPM. specialy on old rides.

If I could convert my ride to EPS, Heck I would....

after reading in wiki, let me rephrase what I just have said.

If I could convert my ride to EPS FOR FREE, Heck I would....

no hyrdaulics? motor is hooked directly to either the steering gear or steering column? talo pa RHD to LHD convertion.

that's a lot of work and cost for 1MPG or less than 500 meters per liter increase mileage.

would rather prefer electric aircon convertion kung myroon. hehe...

Well for my point of view, hindi pa din ganun kagaan sa makina ang improvement na ito kasi may break pa naman na kailangan ng vac pump supply, so almost same din lang..dapat ang break motorized na din para fuel saving talaga...at A/C din pala..
