This is welcome news indeed. When I get my new FXT, I won't have to dread the thought of having to brave EDSA traffic when PMS time comes along: 3 new Subaru dealerships to rise before end-2011 - News | TopGear.com.ph
Subaru lovers who live in the southern part of Manila and in southern Philippines will no longer have to travel all the way to Motor Image's showroom in Greenhills as the Philippines' exclusive distributor of the Japanese vehicles will soon have a showroom in three new locations.
According to Nicky Mariano, Motor Image Pilipinas' general manager, a Subaru showroom in Bonifacio Global City will rise where tuning shop Autotechnika is currently located. Since the dealership will be housed in an existing structure, Motor Image will only have to remodel both the exterior and interior setup before officially opening its doors to clients within the third quarter of 2011.
"It's a pity that we can only display up to four cars in the showroom area," Mariano said. "As much as we'd like to put on display our entire model lineup, there's just not enough space."
The dealership will also have a full service facility so Subaru owners can bring their cars and have its periodic maintenance service done on-site.
A Subaru dealership in Alabang is also in the works, Mariano added, and behind it is a group of automotive enthusiast, which includes AutoPlus principal Carlos Gono.
A dealership is also being planned for Davao that, according to Mariano, will be run by the same individual who used to operate the Chevrolet Davao dealership.
Subaru Davao will be the third dealership to be established outside of Metro Manila following the opening of the Japanese carmaker's dealerships in Cebu and Pampanga in 2010.

July 8th, 2011 11:48 PM #4Having a big inventory of parts at reasonable prices would be a plus factor to the new dealerships. 1 1/2 months is a long wait for parts.

Was in MI 2 weeks ago for PMS. Sabi nila, Boni Global City dealership opening has been pushed back, possibly late Oct or early Nov. Alabang is still scheduled for 2012, but no definite date.

No movement pa rin sa area where Autotechnika used to be unless it's all inside and not visible. The old logos are still on the facade.
Any news on the Davao dealership?

Subaru now has 6 dealerships:
in Metro Manila:
1. Greenhills;
2. Fort Bonifacio;
3. Alabang;
outside Metro Manila:
1. Pampanga;
2. Cebu;
3. Davao.
When I attended an EB of Subarusociety, one of the members mentioned that Motor Image will be opening a dealership in Macapagal/Mall of Asia area. Topgear confirms:
Motor Image to open new store, launch all-new Forester in 2013 - News | TopGear.com.ph
According to our source within the company, MIP's new showroom will be located in Aseana City adjacent to the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City, near the Department of Foreign Affairs office and the S&R Supermarket. This will give Manila- and Pasay City-based Subaru owners a more convenient venue to have their vehicles serviced as well as new car shoppers a new place in which to buy a brand-new Subaru.Last edited by April_Ryan; November 11th, 2012 at 12:17 AM.
