Mukhang Optra yung grill ng bagong Impreza.
Motor Image is already building a showroom in EDSA beside Ford EDSA dealer.
at first didnt know that it was Subaru but then i saw some Subaru logos in it. Yahoo!!! malapit na dumating ang Subaru (independent) dito sa Philippines.
we're all hoping for decent prices for their cars... sana it wont be taxed much para it can compete with toyota, honda, etc..
Hopefully, pero the Subaru vehicles that will be brought here are all made in Japan so it is still unknown as to how much tax & duties will be applied to the pricing.Originally Posted by kyle618
Still, hope that if ever, they won't overprice too far.
to be specific... wag gayahin ang pricing ng norkis -- ex dealer ng chrysler/jeep. imagine, that time an expedition XLT nasa 1.5M, then a 4x2 sta Fe was priced at 1.45M

Its just the same as the last one sold here by GM Autowrold, because the 2006 model just got a facelift and engine upgrade, it uses the same body.Originally Posted by oldblue

The last one sold here for P1.9M was the old 218hp 2.0 Turbo.Originally Posted by kyle618
I wonder how they will price the new models...
The Impreza WRX 2.5 Turbo should be priced lower than the Outback 3.0 and close to the Forester 2.5 Turbo.
I guess because it would even be much more expensive than the 230PS WRX Turbo.Originally Posted by eggman
If they really want to sell more, they should bring in the lower priced non-turbo AWD Impreza 2.0R (160PS DOHC flat-4)

The Impreza 2.0R should be priced a bit less than the Forester 2.0.
The last Forester 2.0 was sold here for around P1.3M

STI (Subaru Tecnica International) is Subaru's high-performance division, much like Toyota's TRD or Nissan's NISMO. Subaru will have to bring over a complete STI workshop to handle STI conversions of the Impreza WRX or the Liberty GTI; OR bring in CBU LHD Impreza WRX by STI or Liberty GTI by STI. Either way, it'll be $$$ on final price tag.Originally Posted by eggman
btw, the Subaru Forester bagged the C/D's 5 Best Truck award again for this year 2006.
amazing feat for a 6year old CUV.
I hope they would also bring in the 3.0 R variant(s) for the Legacy. (either in Sedan or Station wagon... OR BOTH)

If they can't make it part of the initial launch lineup, then they should at least release it before the year ends.

even though subaru cars' performance (the turbo ones) impresses me, i cant get past its looks. it's either too bland or too fugly! sure if you dressed it up nagiging macho, but still.. tsk tsk.
