our family-used vehicles appear to average 9K-12K km a year.
our 2005 innova has over 140K km already. the 2014 wigo has 43K km.

Yeah a good survey to have.

Whenever I go shopping for a 2nd hand car I always use the 7-15k km per year rule.

But this doesn't apply to "Lola" at "Tita"
    .

My 1995 Sentra is only at 140k km

My 2010 Ford Focus is only at 65k km

My 1999 Civic has only 175k km

    My personal picks:

    1st gen Honda CRV
    5th/6th (90's) gen Honda Civic

Tapos mag aftermarket mod ka sa Civic, mix top half ng VTEC motor with bottom half ng 1st gen 2.0 liter CRV engine. Pwede na mag zoom zoom!

You'd be better off with a Civic EK powered by a K20 engine (CRV 2nd gen 2.0L, Accord 7th gen 2.0L, Civic FD 2.0L).

2 RAVs, an ancestral gen1 Pajero, pop's Gen2, the old Mk2 Escort were some that clocked way higher than 200k. They don't make em like they did anymore.[emoji852] Regulations have progressively conspired w/ the industry...what can we suckers do?[emoji13]

My 2006 Hyundai Sonata 3.3L V6 had 206k miles (332k km) when I gave it away. A car is worthless once it reaches 200k miles. Many dealers won't even take them as a trade-in.

    Galing ah.

    His 16th Toyota.

    Loyal sa T badge.

But this is more the exception than the rule to reach that milestone.

Actually they gave him a new one in exchange for his Tundra Master E.

I wonder what they'll do with the second one to hit that mark?

Built Toyota Tough: Second Tundra Truck Hits 1 Million Miles

Makes one wish we had that same manufacturing plant here in Da Pilipins making new Rav4s at a good price point.

I drove mine for almost 15 years and only got 180,000 Kms on the clock.

My old 6th gen Accord was bought second hand at around 95k km on the odometer. I used it for another 100k km before selling it.

Six zeroes are special for publicity, but not five zeroes. Anyway, my Sonata had collided with a deer back at 100k miles. With all the hidden stress damage, I doubt it'll reach 300k miles. Something too expensive to repair or replace might break. That's why I told my wife's friend to buy a better used car when she is able to. The sooner the better.

Subaru is not anymore in my car wishlist...

    https://jalopnik .com/subarus-trying-to-fix-its-quality-problem-before-its-to-1835819521

Subaru’s lineup is one of the more focused among major automakers, and also among the most beloved, which is why it’s always been a little curious why its cars haven’t always been well-made.

The definition of “well-made” has always been somewhat in dispute, with automakers usually claiming one thing and consumers and others claiming another. In Subaru’s case, the company has received mixed signals, ranking high in Consumer Reports, but consistently near the bottom in J.D. Power rankings.

    ...

A lot of these problems are simply the result of a company that has grown steadily for over a decade now, and keeps growing. U.S. sales haven’t stopped rising since the aughts, and that means more cars, which means more workers to build those cars, and more suppliers to supply parts for the cars, all of which present their own new hurdles.

But it also means that Subaru’s hot streak probably won’t last forever. And it’s one thing for a company to place its bets on sedans and wagons in an increasingly sedan- and wagon-unfriendly world, but it’s another thing if those sedans and wagons also develop a reputation for being shoddily constructed.
