I'm planning to buy a Crossover next month and i'm deciding between the All-New CRV and All-New Subaru XV..
I have already test driven the CRV and i dont see it as my next Car,, will test drive the Subaru XV this week.
I just need to know what's the main difference of the two variants? 2.0i and 2.0i-S ....
Ive also heard that theres no eyesight feature yet for PH models?

Yes, Eyesight is still not available here and I'm one of the few that considers this a very big disappointment. They say that they're trying to bring it here for next year but who knows. Actually, the 2018 XV here has Eyesight but they intentionally removed it for the reason that it still isn't compatible with our traffic patterns.

After two days with the 2.0i:
1. It uses the foglights as DRLs.
2. Android Auto works. Will try Apple Carplay today.
3. The USB ports under center armrest are high powered but have no data link to the HU. Only the single USB port under the HU has data.
4. FM sounds like crap but Spotify via Android Auto is good.
5. It doesn't have a driver door unlocker for the inside handle. This means that the driver has to press the unlock button to open the doors. The old Vios and my Mazda's driver door can be unlocked just by pulling the door handle from the inside.
6. No speed sensing door locks so one has to be conscious to lock the door at all times.
7. The trunk's high floor is very convenient. No need to bend over to arrange stuff and it is accessible from the second row.
8. There is a small signal light repeater on the inside edge of the side mirrors as an additional reminder that your signal lights are working since the clicker is too quiet.
9. The HU doesn't turn off with the ignition. It only turns off when the ignition is turned off AND a door is opened.
10. Aircon temp settings feel conservative so for now it's set to fan AUTO and 22 degrees.
11. Acceleration is smooth for normal driving but zooms when floored.
11. No definite fuel consumption figures yet since it spends a lot of time idling while we figure it out
So far so good

Engine anti-knock sensor won't let the engine knock even if you put 93 octane fuel ... 95 octane is the recommended ... you can use 93 octane fuel but engine will not perform optimally ... higher gas emissions I think ...

November 13th, 2017 08:17 AM #450go with what the manual says, if you have any questions..like what MI says in an newspaper article on forester xts, they recommend 97 upwards...pero on the manual it says 95 is ok...explaination is, quality of fuels, thats why their jdm's has different hp than ours, they can go higher boost coz of the quality of fuels..what i did was i just stick 95ron to test, if it knocks, ill just revert back to 97+
