No problem, Mitasu 5w30 gold has that rating, it's made in Japan. I saw it for sale in Blade, Tru Value and Lazada for 530 pesos. I'm planning to use this with my next oil change. Look for a dealer, might be cheaper.

Yeah. Will there be any advantage at all if I go with the casa-provided oil (Motul) over cheaper variants with both certifications?

no advantage, even semi synthetics can pass api-sn and ilsac-gf5 requirements.

if you go to motul lube advisors website. you'll be recommended of a 0w20 api-sn ilsac-gf5 for the north american newer subaru "2.0" BRZ and naturally aspirated 2.0 Foresters...

here is the recommendation from motul

    Motul - Products show

if you check the recommended oil for the turbo XT. this requires a more stout oil..

Thanks! Do you think the Mag1 Full Synthetic CVTF is one good choice then?

If any of you guys need a cheap FS oil for your Subies, just drop by FRDMAZ and get their Motorcraft 5w30 FS oil (API SN, Resource Conserving). I get it for 400 per liter. I use that same oil for my Fiesta Ecoboost and FXT, as it satisfies the requirement of both Ford and Subaru turbo engines. The FA20 requires a 5w30 FS oil, or 5w40 in case no 5w30 is available. I am not sure about the FB20 but the FA20 needs 5L for its oil change.

You should check your manual, car manufacturers now have their own specified blend for their trannies.
