No reverse cam for the base model.

Thanks. Will have to clear that up when I schedule a test drive.

They have to update their brochures. I hope someone finds a way to integrate the camera's output to one of the screens. Last resort is via an add-one rearview mirror like my old car.

I checked with Winterpine; so far they don't have a reverse cam yet for the XV. Should be just a matter of time though before we can have one installed.

I've also asked an SA about the reverse cam and he confirms also that the base will not be having one.

He said the only option, aside from not opting for the limited, is 3rd party but that it will void the warranty.

Got this quote from BGC for the base model:
"8 inch LCD Display, Web Link (iOS & Android) Music, Yelp, Waze, Weather, Android Mirroring, Bluetooth Hands free phone & Bluetooth Audio, AUX in, HDMI, iPod, CD, DVD, USB Ready." No mention of a camera pero malamang abang na ang harness nyan and actual camera na lang ang kulang.

I don't think we need to worry naman about blowing up our electricals with a properly installed camera. I have a third party camera installed on my Mazda plugged into one of the Body Control Modules and they still honored the warranty for some suspension issues.

Just got word from a little mouse in MI (not an SA, btw) that a small batch of 2.0i-S units has actually arrived. No word yet on colors, though.

I suggest you reach out to your SA's asap if you're also playing the waiting game.

Glad these companies now are going thru Social Media via Autoindustriya and Carguide. I'm surprised TGPH isn't getting the first scoop :D

Saw it on display at a mall (base model). Was disappointed that it didn't even have a backup camera and the cargo looked like you couldn't even put a baby stroller/school bag/stroller in it. And I also couldn't tell the difference between the previous model and this. It looked more like a facelift.
The next day I saw a TOTL during the evening and I liked the taillights as well as the rear. That's when I noticed the difference between this all-new and the previous.
