Yes, Eyesight is still not available here and I'm one of the few that considers this a very big disappointment. They say that they're trying to bring it here for next year but who knows. Actually, the 2018 XV here has Eyesight but they intentionally removed it for the reason that it still isn't compatible with our traffic patterns.

I hope we can upgrade once certified. Anyone has an idea if it will just involve firmware upgrade?

    I have the 2.0i-S.

    1) I'm also surprised that TPMS is not included. There's a lot of information in the display screen on top of the HU but I don't get why they did not include a TPMS.

    2) I was expecting it to also have a Speed Sensing Door Locking mechanism as this is included in non-PH 2018 XV models. It's a very old technology that should be included in most high-end cars now. Heck, our 2008 Monterosport has that.

    3) Android Auto works but screen resolution is meh.

    4) Mine doesn't use the foglights as DRL's. Its DRL's are around the headlight assemblies.

    5) When I set the headlights to Auto and had my friend check if the lights are moving from side to side in-sync with the steering wheel, she says they're not. Is the car supposed to be moving for the Steering Responsive lights to actually respond to steering?

    6) Is the really no backup sensor with the XV? Even though the TOTL has a rear view camera, it will be best to assist it with a backup sensor that alerts you. It does alert you when there are obstructions on the side of the car (I think this is SRVD working) but not when there are obstructions directly behind the car whilr backing up.

For the TPMS, I checked with the casa if you can have one installed. They said it is quite complicated because you have to tap into the car electronics. I think they should be able to do it, because they said that the Levorg, Legacy and Outback has TPMS. Will discuss that further with them.

I think the Steering Responsive Headlight only activates when you are moving forward at a certain minimum speed (5 km/h?).

I agree that the backup sensor would have been quite useful too, especially if we also have the Rear Auto Braking feature (am I asking too much?). I though it would be included because the test drive unit had one.

After we had the rear camera installed we're now having second thoughts of getting sensors since installation will require holes in the bumper.
Android Auto not using car GPS Antenna? - Android Auto Help

If a car with Android Auto has a built-in Navi system, it initially gets the GPS signal from the phone and switches to the car GPS antenna if it's more accurate. Since our XV's don't have built-in navigation, then this does not apply. Simply put, it uses our phone's GPS receiver (which sucks, I know).

I see. What did they say when you asked why TPMS was included in your quotation? Human error?

That's what I thought regarding the headlights. How did you confirm that yours was working?

Really?! I didn't know that there was a Rear Auto Braking feature available. Is it part of Eyesight? I don't think so but that's one hell of a helpful feature to have. You're not asking too much, I think these minor features are a must for the TOTL variant considering its price. Were you able to try this feature when you test drove the XV TOTL?

For the TPMS, yes they said they made a mistake on the quotation.

I have not confirmed if my SRH is working. Maybe a way to test would be to turn on SRH, move the car (at minimum required speed), turn the steering wheel, then turn off the SRH and check if the headlights will move back to center. I am just afraid to try it. [emoji3] maybe if I had ample space and there’s nothing to hit in front.

Yes, if I remember correctly, the unit I used for test drive had RAB. It also had rear sensors. When I was backing out of the casa, the security guard was trying to guide me. The car was beeping continuously because it was detecting an obstruction (security guard). Not sure if that’s part of Eyesight.

Do you have the 2.0i-S too?

Yeah, I'd have to test my SRH further to confirm. Takot din ako, lol.

I'm hoping this disappointment fades out after a few days I was choosing between the XV 2.0i-S and Civic RS Turbo when I was researching for what to buy and concluded that the XV has more tech than the Civic. I hope I made the right decision. Some of the features that the Civic has over the XV:

    1) Speed Sensing Door Lock
    2) Remote Engine Start
    3) Built-in GPS
    4) Auto Brake Hold
    5) Multi-view Reverse Cam
    6) Doors Unlock automatically when you approach the car with the key fob (Civic's version of smart entry)
    7) HDMI-in
    8) Oil monitor system

Got a chance to use the X-Mode / Hill Descent Control earlier while descending on a 13-degree road (on the way to Puzzle Mansion in Tagaytay). Just before descending, I turned on X-Mode. Then I proceeded going down the slope, took my foot off the brakes (but still on stand-by, just in case), and just witnessed the car maintain control all the way down. Just amazing!

Well, I know that’s not the true test or use of X-Mode. But I’m just happy to use it for the first time! [emoji23] It is also good to feel confident that your vehicle can easily go through different driving conditions.

Halos same size lang sila pero yung leg room sa second row ng vitara medyo masikip compare sa XV.

Generally, the FC for the first few rides won't be the FC for your car going forward. Lalo na pag wala pa 100km sa odo.

If my guesstimates are correct (looking at reviews and such), the XV should be in the region of just under 8km/l in Metro Manila traffic.

Yeah, I read about that though my odo reads 700Km already. Will FC improve more after the 1st PMS?

    *All

For TOTL owners, have you gotten the High Beam Assist feature to work? When I turn it on during night, nothing happens (it never automatically turns on).

So medyo magastos pala gas kapag naka cruise control sa expressway kapag may slight uphill kasi kailangan niya imaintain yung set speed.
