The Fun Run of the North
[SIZE=1]January 30, 2011[/SIZE]

As the Northern Luzon Chapter evolves, it GROWS! For the first time in the club's history, The Strada Club of the Philippines - Northern Luzon Chapter will initiate its own Fun Run dubbed as The Fun Run of the North on January 30, 2011. The goal for this Fun Run is for all NL BOSBs from Baguio-Benguet, Ilocos Norte/Sur, Pangasinan, Isabela, and from other NL provinces to know each other (an acquaintance fun run... in other words) and to officially meet TSCP-NL Vice President Locoroco777- [SIZE=1]here is hoping that he can come[/SIZE].

This will be a replication of the club's first Fun Run to Baguio back in November 2008- the Binga Dam and Adonot River crossing. Plus the inclusion of going to Ambuklao Dam which was done during last year's Mt. Pulag Camping and Fun Run, to visit the Mt. Pulag DENR office to check if our banner if it is still there and to go beyond (a bit) the Ranger Station to catch a glimpse of Mt. Pulag itself.

BOSBs from the Manila, South, Visayas and Mindanao Chapters are most than welcome to join us. Newbies are welcome as well. Please sign up as early as you can so we will be looking for accomodations for you (transient houses for Non Baguio-Benguet residents if needed).

Tentative Itinerary:
January 30
7:00am - 8:00am - assembly at Caltex PNR
8:00am - 9:30am - Travel to Benguet Corp Mining Area
9:30am - 11:00pm - Rough Road trail to Binga Dam
11:00pm - 12:00pm - Early Lunch at Restaurant along Ambuklao Road
12:00pm - 1:30pm - Adonot River trekking with Pictorials
1:30pm - 2:45pm - Stopover at Ambuklao Dam and pictorials
2:45pm - 3:00pm - Travel to the Ambuklao Dam and Short Stopover for Pictorials
3:00pm - 3:45pm Stopover at the DENR Mt. Pulag Office and Pictorial by the TSCP banner pegged on the wall
3:45pm - 5:00pm off-road trek to the Ranger Station - Leave 4x2s at the DENR office
5:00pm - 6:00pm trek back to Ranger Station
6:00pm - 7:00pm Travel Back to Baguio via Ambuklao Road
7:00pm - 8:00pm Dinner at Military Cut off: either at 50's Diner or Kubong Sawali
8:00pm - 8:30pm - non Baguio Residents proceed to Transient House for check in
8:30pm - sawa- 2011 planning session for NL by EkwinOKS, ian and Joseph (other members may join in)

Optional: Fun Run to PMA (Philippine Military Academy)

UPDATE: DUE TO THE DECLINING NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS, Sir G01 and I have decided to POSTPONE/RESCHEDULE The Fun Run of the North to sometime February/March 2011. We will keep you all posted for the developments. Thank you.
