yep ok lang ang mineral. in fact, some would suggest mas ok na mineral oil muna during break-in period while yung mga piston eh settling in pa.

re: sa liters of oil. if you ask sa diamond motor they'd say 8L. sa citimotors 7 daw.
(ganon talga sa casa, iba iba sinasabi nila. it's up to you na lang. pero ako i find it not-worth makipag argue pa sa advisor on that particualr issue, esp if it might sever your relationship w/ the person which might affect yung overall work your truck)

Sir, Diamond Marcos ako palagi nag PMS. I just give the service advisor 7 liters and palagi may bumabalik pa na halos kalahati litro after. This is for the 2.5. Pag naka 3.2 po kayo 7.5lt kaya siguro 8 liters hinihingi po sa inyo.

kcboy, may nabasa ako na 3500 daw cleaning service for EGR sa casa. i dont remember if montero sport ito or strada.

madali lang mag cleaning. very straight forward naman ang cleaning nito. kayang kaya ng DIY or suking mechanic mo. usually charge dito is 100 pesos pag sa suking mechaniko

sirs after backreading po, natutunan ko po is yung 1,000k pms mas maganda po gamitin ang oem mineral oil, the same sa 5,000 and 10,000k pms, but pagdating po ng 15,000k you can decide na po what kind of oil you will be using? yung a/c ko parang di ganun kalamig, sa unang andar ko po after warming up sa morning, parang may sound sa ilalim (hissing or parang singaw like sound) and yung andar ko po may jerking with a tog! sound sa transmission, tanong ko lang po kung may mga naka-encounter po ng ganito?my strada nga po pala is 4x2 m/t and less than 160 kilometers pa lang po, di ko na po makita ang pagesorry po kung mahaba ang post ko, sirs ano po nga pala magandang diesel na ikarga? ordinary diesel from shell or petron or the v-power diesel of shell or the turbo diesel of petron? and lastly po, nung nagbaback read po ako, may nabasa akong settings for the stock headunit, para mas gumanda ang output ng sound sa stereo natin (adjustments sa bandwidth and frequency po)unfortunately di ko na po makita ulit ang page, sana po makikirepost ulit kung paano, salamat po sa tscp! sana maging member po ako balang araw

all your concerns remind and the way you described it reminds me when ako yung may bagong truck... hehehe

anyway, to offer my two cents based sa pagbabasa ko (im not one of the resident experts):
1. nabasa ko din yan na mas ok na mineral muna during break-in. tska ka na mag synthetic pag lapat na yung mga dapat lumapat.
2. yung sa a/c well nung umpisa parang iniisip ko din di ata malamig. pero parang ok naman ata. try adjusting the setting (thermostat and vent). or baka naman natapat na sobrang init lang talaga ng panahon nung napansin niyo yon.
3. yung hissing sound baka yung turbo engaging. it does that kapag nageengage (usually around 1.5-2 rpm yata).
4. yung tog sound ba sa kapagnagclutch ka (para magneutral from low gear)? happens to me, not sure if it's supposed to be normal. interested to know as well. pero may driving habit para di magkaganon. (di ko lang alam idescribe pano idescribe)
5. sa diesel. ako i personally use Petron diesel max 'lang'.

Sir's ask ko lang po normal lang po ba na may rattling sound yung transmission ko tuwing nakaidle at may squeking sound po din kapag press at depress ko ng clutch..Worried na ako kasi due na ung warranty ko sa dec. 8.. nasabi ko narin dati sa SA sabi normal lang daw at i-note na lang nila..

hi kc, had this in my 30km pms due to low power complaint. bill says 'performed egr valve cleaning/perform small injection quantity learning using mut-III' * php 516.01

naku parang di yata normal yung squaking clutch. parang madami na akong nababasang ganyan. all things being equal, try niyo sa mitsu alabang pacheck...
yung 'rattling transmission' parang di ko pa ata narinig / maimagine yan. rattling steering column ang alam kong common

Php860 lang po ang cleaning ng EGR sa casa. And if I remember correctly, free po ito kapag may warranty pa ang mga strada natin.

May squeaking sound din yung clutch ko ngayon, nagkaroon na rin ng ganito dati pa at ang ginagawa ng casa nilalagyan lang ng grease.

im ready for my 1k pms bought mobil 1 delvac mx at ACE hardware 249.95php per liter , i called diamond marcos highway 8 liters ang pinadadala sakin, di ba po 7 liters lang for 2.5 glx? anyway, do i need to change oil again sa 5k or top up nalang then change oil to full synthetic sa 10k?

Diamond 8L. i think sa Citimotors yung pumapayag na 7 lang.

mga sir my 1k pms went very well at diamond q. ave thanks to LR , mjlu and theparanoid for the tip kung san ako dapat pumunta. i payed 1,054 only for the oil filter and rags i brought my own oil. my SA mr. aurelio is very nice siya na talaga nagtanong kung aalisin yung mga hindi na kailangan like the gas and diesel treatment,varsol,car care kit etc.

one thing lang napansin ko after ng pms , on my way home to bulacan tinry ko humataw sa nlex to see the difference. but i noticed na parang nawala yung 'sipa' ng turbo..

before my 1k pms kase kahit sa 3rd gear around 2,500 - 3,000 RPM nararamdaman ko na ung 'sipa' ng turbo at medyo bumabaon nako sa seat. ngayon umaabot na ng 4,000rpm sa 3rd gear atungal lang ng engine naririnig ko at wala na yung 'sipa' ng turbo..

pakiramdam ko tuloy bumagal yung ride ko. tingin niyo po mga sir me kinalaman sa oil yun? or me inadjust sila? i used nga pala Mobiel 1 delvac mx 15w40
