sir,

got the mobil1 5w40 trubo diesel truck fully synthetic oil, i think this is good as i got it for a pretty good price, almost the same price as royalpurple and motul but it is 5w40 which is way better than 15w40.

how much kuha nyo sir? and where? maybe you can share it with us...unfortunately the supplier of the motul oil which the majority of the bosbs get it from is currently out of stock for a long while now...and a lot of members are really having a hard time searching for it...tapos kung mayron man makita sobra namang mahal....so we might as well switch brands...

and BTW sir...please post a feedback on the mobil1 5w40 diesel specific oil..TIA

Good news for manila based bosb's...theres about a dozen of oil filters for 2.5 and about 2 or 3 pcs left for 3.2(nakuha na yung iba hehe) that was brought by our davao based members which was imported from thailand....its in the posession of our president...so just PM him if your intrested....the selling price is a lot cheaper compared to the casa....

yup, there's also available oem brake pad and the price is lower compared to casa, just PM jashty.

Sana pala nagroyal purple na lang ako. Nagwoworry na ako sa para sa top-up ko, 61900 na odo ko at sigurado kasi pag-uwi ko ng probinsya eh pagbalik ko dito magpapaPMS na agad ako.

Favorite kasi nila gamitin tong strada.

srp nila if may receipt nasa 600plus but got it for less than 550, nung pinorder ko na sa secretary ko, i was expecting the old mobil1 5w40 na puwede pang gas or diesel, i was surprise they came up with a new version for turbo diesel truck. i tried also thinking of royal purple but kinabahan din ako kasi sila lang pala nagoofer ng 15w40 na fylly synthetic, didnt want to see a repeat of motul where nagkakaubsan. kaya napa oo na ako sa mobil 1 5w40. 5w40 naman daw and best and mobil1 pa....called up a few of my suppliers and they confirmed it na new version ito and madami stocks sobra.

bago palang ito sa market kaya hindi pa gaanong kilala but it is mobil1 and it is more established than brands like motul and royal purple in our market so i guess it won't take long for it to reach your area.

I will not use any oil with an SAE No. lower than 15W-40. Nadali na ng 5W-40 na oil yung dating Pajero FM namin. At 55,000 km kumatok na makina. And all casas napinuntahan namin dati (Diamond Quezon Avenue, Union Paco, Diamond Valle Verde, Diamond Marcos Highway, Citimotors Makati, DCT Oliveros) all pointed to the Mobil1 5W-40 oil as the culprit. 5 years ago nangyari yun. Kaya I will not use Motul CRDi Specific or Mobil1 because of what happened to our Pajero FM dati. I will use an oil with a SAE No. specified by the warranty booklet.

i used to put mobil1 5w40 fully synthetic sa pajero ko din before, never had problems, but the mobil1 5w40 now is specifically formulated for diesel engines so i am more confident, also the union motors in caloocan is using 5w40 motul on the vehicles they service there, 5w40 should be a better oil than 15w40, but kanya kanyang gamit lang yan.

This is new; thanks for sharing. I read threads before on fake Mobil and Castrol Lube Oils, I do not know if this has something to do with the 5W-40 that you had used -- I am not an expert kaya if I were to buy Castrol and Mobil, it shall be from a reliable seller.

Orig po ang Mobil1 na ginagamit po namin dati. We buy it from Tireboy Araneta. I have posted something in the MSCP forums yesterday. Let me share it.

My Monty's clocking 28k km already. I'm already nearing my 30k km PMS. Here are the oils I used before.

1. Turbo XP Synthetic Oil 15W-50 (1,000-20,000 km)
2. Royal Purple Synthetic Motor Oil 15W-40 (20,000-present km)

I'm thinking of trying Motul CRDi Specific Synthetic Oil 5W-40 for the 30,000 km PMS. But my dad and mom wants me to clarify if we can use Motul CRDi Specific for the 30k km PMS. They told me to consult the warranty booklet and call Mitsubishi Motors Philippines. Here's what I saw in the warranty booklet:



Also, I called MMPC at 10 am this morning. I talked with Mr. Ron Brosas, one of their technical staff. I asked him if the right SAE Nos. for the Monty and Strada is the one I saw in the warranty booklet. He answered me in the affirmative. He then explained that due to our tropical climate, dapat malapot ang oil na ginagamit natin. I then asked him what if I use an engine oil with a SAE No. lower than 15W-40. He then explained that using an engine oil with SAE Nos. 0W-30, 5W-40, 10W-40 etc., anything lower than 15W-40, is malabnaw. And an engine oil which is malabnaw is bad for our engine running in a tropical climate. The 4M41 and the 4D56 are high performance engines according to him. Using an engine oil that is malabnaw will not properly lubricate the mechanical parts of our engines. Madidikit agad ang mga mechanical parts ng engine if we use an engine oil with an SAE No. lower than 15W-40. It might probably cause the premature knocking of our engines according to him. Due to our tropical climate, MMPC recommends using oils with SAE Nos. depicted in the image above. Also, they have given permission to their dealers that customers can bring their own oil as long as the oil is within their specifications. They also told their dealers to strongly discourage their customers to use engine oils with a SAE No. lower than 15W-40.
