sir correction lang....

yang buo na yan is the whole EGR assembly...

yung SCV nasa lower part yun ng engine... sakin tinangal pa yung battery just to gain access with it...

edit....nakalimutan ko iba nga pala tayo engine so Im not sure...hehe....so dyan yung SCV ng 4d56? katabi lang ng EGR?

where and how much did you buy your oil filter, fuel filter??? how much for the cleaning of the egr???? may i know what casa did you have it done? decided na ako sa diamond sa quezon ave ako mag papa 10k pms maybe sa december.

Also, papayag ba ang Casa like Citimotor to use Mineral Oil for the 4d56CRDiTurbo engine? Wala kasi akong makitang advantage sa sythethic oil since you will be back pa rin naman every 5km..

nag compute lang kasi ako para alam ko ang kakaharapin ko.

get it na lang kay Jessa, citimotors las pinas Sales executive, she gives better deals, a lot of tsikoteers got it from her if your talking about citimotors.

regarding service, better at diamond but las pinas is okay naman.

regarding oil, you can use mineral.

malamang nga bro ganun talaga...pero I think designed naman yan to accumulate carbon deposits...ang problema lang talaga dito satin sobrang dumi ng diesel kaya mas madami naiipon na carbon...

pero sa tingin ko kahit papano talaga nakakatulong yung pagbirit ng engine and pag palaging sa expressway dumadaan ksi mukang nakakatulong yun to push the carbon out....plus yung sinok eh hindi ganun ka profuse when I had mine cleaned so I assume dahil din yun sa pagdaan ko palagi sa expressway at paghatawa when given a chance...

again purely theoretical lang po ito....and its all just based on my observation..

Grabe naman kapal ng carbon deposits na yun... I had my first EGR cleaning at 40k PMS, according to the technician hindi pa naman madumi. Bakit kaya?... Hmmm... So malamang, maraming factors contribute to this carbon deposition sa EGR...

depends sa dealer, but most allow you to bring in parts, basta original sir.

most of us, decline the varsol, car care kit and oil we bring. but yes sir, muhka nga mahal.

The one i posted sir is a heavy checkup. And from what I remembered, heavy checkups are made during 60k, 80k and 100k onwards.

And yes we can cut back on Varsol, car care kit & rags. Nakakalimutan ko lang sabihin sa SA ko yang mga yan, ang nasasabi ko lang kasi is yung Diesel - Gas treatment and Engine flush na tanggalin. Plus kulang lang ako sa time niyan at uuwi na ako ng probinsya sir kaya naghurry ako magpaPMS baka lang kasi magkaprob pa sa daan kaya pacheckup muna.

About the sourcing, yes sir, pwede po magsource sa labas ng casa niyan. For the air filter, I already have the k&n lifetime airfilter. And for the fuel filter, kinuha ko yung used ko para bibili na lang ako sa labas para sa next PMS.

tenxs also sir beni, yap aware po ako sa high maintenance cost every 20K and thereafter but mas lalo pag 40K & 80K like my hyundai crdi van, your reply post is a helpful tip for me to decide which is the best option.

Scheduled Checked up with Citimotors Alabang for the following:

• Steering remote not working
• Goma ng remote natanggal
• guess what to correct one of Strada's defects ...uneven stance.

Km reading was at 5,698 km

Oucome

• Steering remote now working properly
• DIY ko na lang yung goma...
• Casa cannot checked the third issue...kailangan ikabit yung OEM Mags.

Went back home to install the OEM mags ang back at citimotors after an hour.

Findings:

May tama daw yung leaf spring (bumaluktot ng daw kaunti) at yung coil spring.

Kako papano nangyari yun e wala naman akong kinakarga na mabigat. Anyway to make the story short, need to change both leaf and coil spring (driver side rear suspension).

Charge for the parts -- 0 as in none

but have to wait for the parts to arrive SA will inform para ma schedule yung pagpapalit.

Kala ko i-charge sa akin kasi pag ganun ilalaban ko at 2nd option is to get 2nd opinion galing sa ibang casa... Anyway, manageable naman ang stance niya at pwede naman gamitin kaya ok lang may time naman ako mag hintay...kala ko makakapag Rancho na ako ng suspension...

I dropped by at Citimotors-Makati, I pretended that malapit na akong mag 1k, I ask for the typical cost, sabi nya 5k+ kasi Sythethic, ang sabi ko sabi sa Strada forum pwede mineral ang sabi nya hindi raw. YUN DAW ANG ADVISE NG PLANTA. I did not force the issue because wala pa naman akong Strada eh... may reference na po ba ang club that I can use to show that MINERAL OIL is okay for the Strada GLX?

ako sir when i had my GLX for its 1k PMS mineral oil lang ginamit. though they asked me if i wanted to use mineral or synthetic. sa 3.2L engines lang ata sila firm na synthetic ang gaminitin.
