For my 10,000 km PMS, I used only about a liter from the excess from last time to top off. Every 10,000 km kasi ang change oil pag fully synthetic but have to change the fuel filter every 5,000 km.

I still have about 2 liters extra. So, for my 15k PMS, I'll just have to buy 2 4-liter Motul. Di naman siguro nasisira ito

I hope I answered your question.

thank you sir for the info...

I think I'll use motul for my next oil change..

Sorry, I got excited posting... I overlooked these posts...

One of these days I will try dropping by sa Urdaneta Motorplaza service center to inquire about this matter. Iisa lang kasi ang Mitsubishi service center dito sa Baguio so no choice but to accept whatever is being imposed.

Thank you for the info, sir Bobcas. Noted the oil filter part number. Will check with the service center if they can still do the required PMS if I provide the oil filter. 1,260 is a huge difference sa price ng oil filter ng casa.
hello sir G01!!!! Motor Plaza Inc. - URDANETA also does this... the synthetic oil was changed though it is on its 5,000kms nagamit... every 5,000 kms daw ang change oil whether synthetic or not... and only turbo xp shall be used...

So, sir G01, I cannot see any reason why your casa in Baguio will not allow you to do so except that they are protecting their profits.

Isn't this casa in Baguio among those who unnecessarily changes the gear box and differential oils at 1,000 km PMS? Hmmmm.... aside from protecting their profits, also padding their profit? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
doc... MPI - Urdaneta also changed our gear oil/ differential oil at 1,000 kms and 20000 kms

The good thing with this casa though is that the service advisor arranges some technicians to quickly work on the servicing of my Strada as soon as I get there even if there are other vehicles being worked on so I don't wait a long time for the servicing to be completed unlike the Kia service station where I bring my other vehicle wherein servicing takes more than half a day to complete.

I will soon find out if they'll refuse changing my oils if I bring my own. If they'll do then I will just have my PMS done in Manila during one of my trips there.

I'm planning to have our next pms dito sa metro manila... mas tipid...

Strada 3.2L MT PMS c/o SFM San Pablo

    5k PMS
    Labor: Free
    Oil filter: P2,040
    Turbo XP 8liters: P4,200
    TOTAL: P6,240
    less 10% discount: P5,616

    10k PMS
    Labor: P1,000
    Oil filter: P2,040
    Turbo XP 9liters: P4,725
    Brake cleaner: P300
    Silicon spray: P140
    Synthetic grease: P140
    TOTAL: P8,345
    less discount: P7,481

    15k PMS
    Labor: P800
    Oil filter: P1,645
    Royal Purple Synthetic 15W-40 9liters (c/o customer): P4,500
    Synthetic grease: P200
    TOTAL: P7,145

Actually, every 10k dapat change oil but I decided to shift to Royal Purple kaya change oil na naman. After nito, every 10k na siguro. I just thought if I'm paying that much for fully synthetic oil kuno (Turbo XP) which is probably repacked, I'd rather pay for the better brand (RP). BTW, its color is literally purple. Nagulat lang ako kasi akala ko used oil na.

Baka gusto ninyo tingnan itong oil comparison: http://www.animegame.com/cars/Oil%20Tests.pdf

    I'll strart,

    1KM PMS
    Dealer (Citimotors Las Pinas)
    Oil (mineral)
    Cost P2211.76
    Breakdown:
    Labor: Free
    Engine Flush (amalie) P284.07
    Mineral oil P1093.05
    Oil Filter P834.62 w/discount P927.36 w/out discount.
    Service shop consumables Free
    5KM PMS
    Dealer (Union Motors Manila)
    Oil (customer provided)
    Cost P1846.12
    Breakdown:
    Labor: Free
    Engine Flush P695.00
Oil (Motol fully synthetic P3700 customer provided)
    Oil Filter P995
    Cleaning Materials P150
From my experience, laki difference between the two dealers on engine flush and cost of oil filter. If I was to compare both dealers, ill choose citimotors instead (facilitity, billing system, price). Other members, breakout your PMS records and post them here. This will be beneficial to all.
my first post on this thread...

i have my warranty voided simply because of these reasons

during my change oil on 1k and 5k kms:

i don't have the list here but as far as my memory serves me

on 1k km change oil using mineral oil cost me P6,700
on 5k using MITSU turbo xp fully synthetic cost me more than P10,000

that's why voided ko na warranty ko maliban sa electrical wirings and i guess damay na rin yung electrical wirings.

no choice kasi sa place namin, walang ibang casa eh.. for the filter alone cost 4000... so, on my 10k km change oil filter cost me 5k++, kaya sa trusted shop na lang ako nagpachange oil.... haiz...

sir, bakit ninyo sinabi na voided ang warranty ninyo? from your post, you mentioned having it done at the dealership near your place. you have been following the PMS schedules.

Nismo26, considering that you are DIY for your PMS, you should take advantage of your trips to Manila by buying strada consummables like oil filter and the synthetic oil. Mas laking mura if you buy it here in Manila, not necessarily in the casa.
