Yesterday we went to Anilao for a quick dive (just to get our much needed nitrogen fix) hehehe...
However, upon checking docglen's dive gear, we found out that he left his underwater cam. He was thinking that bluemica and mdksael would be joining the dive and they usually bring their underwater cameras with them... BIG MISTAKE! bluemica has a flight to Beijing today at 7 am (24 hrs no fly rule) and mdksael (apparently) is swamped with work (secret? hehe).
For our first dive, we went back to the daryl laot wreck site. And lo and behold! we spotted a BIG pre-historic looking fish complete with bulging eyes and agape mouth! BAKIT WALANG CAMERA! wahhhhhh! we followed the fish for a while until our curiosity was completely satisfied. After encountering a very protective triggerfish and numerous huge bat fishes, it was time to go up the surface. Total dive time, 55 mins with almost 30 meters depth... not bad!
We then proceeded to Kirby's Rock for our second dive. While the shallow waters were quite still, with a few small waves, the deeper portion was a different environment. Our of nowhere, bigla lumakas ang current! As in todo ang lakas since we have to grip the big rocks at the bottom in order not to be swept away by the current... pero sarap mag drift! Good thing the Strada Divers are fully trained and ready for that predicament (moxxxs bili ka na ng gloves! hehe). Wala nagpanic and our total dive time was 44 minutes. Pagdating sa taas it was almost sunny and the waters were calm!
Contemplating if we will still do our shore dive, we decided to the contrary considering that the waves are getting bigger at the Twin Rocks site. Buti na lang masarap yung buffet kaya hindi kami nagsisi hehehehe
On our way back to manila, we heard on the radio that Cory's funeral convoy had converted the SLEX into a big parking lot! At first we thought of ways to avoid the said monstrous traffic jam but as fate would decide, we end up smack right at the front of the convoy just outside the Bicutan interchange. We got out of our stradas and joined the thousand of mourners and uziseros watching the said historical event. Pauland even took a video pero kulang kami ni docglen ng exposure hehehe. Here is the facebook link: http://www.facebook.com/video/video....7076155&ref=mf
Over-all, yesterday's experience was truly phenomenal. Sarap pa ng pancit near docglen's clinic before we parted our separate ways. Sa uulitin!
Addendum: I forgot to mention those who were present... eslonblue, tintoy, pauland, moxxxs, docglen and myself. And docglen, a piece of advice... OK LANG YAN! hahahaha
