Hello, welcome to the boards. There are other MB100 threads here. Use search and the keyword 'mb100' (no space) and you'll get about 10 threads.
Have a '97 since new. No problems with it. Pioneer HU, basic AV set up. Had all the recall items fixed by CATS (door handles, air intake, A/C plumbing).
Basically stock and running on Goodyear Wrangler tires.

Check the suspension and brakes. Yung handbrake minsan ayaw kumagat.
Change the oil, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter. You can also have the coolant flushed and refilled with 50/50 coolant mix. The maintenance schedule of the MB100 is on the decal under the hood [mababali leeg mo trying to read it]. Even with mineral oil, every 10,000 kms lang ang oil change niya.
If yours doesn't have the decal, you can PM me, I'll try to take photo of it. Or at least copy the contents.

Replace the clutch only when it is showing signs of being worn already.
I've no problems with the clutch pedal, it's the clutch cable that snapped a few years ago (the new one installed has not failed since).
The revised shifter is a pretty big part. I can't recall the price. You'll know it's the revised shifter because the shift knob is no longer quick release (you screw it on like in most other cars). A quick release shift knob was initially used because you needed to take out the shift knob in order to open up the 'doghouse' engine cover in the cabin.
