As long as you have a balanced diet, supplements are just a waste of money.

Agreed also ... just eat right ... multivitamins are more useful for malnourished children ... and therein lies the irony ... most are malnourished because they can't afford to eat properly in the first place ...

some folks actually do benefit from calcium supplements! some of them are even prescribed!
think "osteoporosis" in the latter half of our lives.
    ask your doctor/endocrinologist, for advice.

"but i prefer delicious ice cream over tasteless calcium tablets."

    The article says...

"There's no direct connection between the calcium you consume and the amount in your arteries. But in recent years, several studies have observed a link between the use of calcium supplements and a higher risk of cardiovascular disease."

To really know if it is conclusive or not, you have to read the complete article and you need to sign up.

It's easier for me to continue my calcium supplements than sign up.

my doctor advised me yesterday to stop taking my hypertension med combizar (i'm popping this pill for the past 12 years)and changed it to pure losartan med . he explains to me that this diuretic pill might be the reason causing my low potassium level. the provided link above about potassium is timely
