tsaka nabawasan din ng isang member ng coaching staff na isa sa mga bridge ni tab sa players niya at sa game refs. na-entice ng arch rival kaya wala na tuloy ako ka-tsismisan sa goings-on sa uaap.

hats off talaga to coach gold for totally outcoaching baldwin in his uaap finals debut. even kanina there were lots of instances his system was hurting ateneo. i have to concede that he may well deserve this season's championship. nagawan ng paraan ang loss ni cansino at mas gumanda pa nga ang laro nila.

the gokongwies made a good choice in spending big on monteverde and his stable. looks like it'll pay dividends in heaps.

Kung sa bagay medyo unusual na iisa lang ang team captain sa isang ateneo team. In the past halos parati leadership by committee ang basketball and vball teams. Even sa bball squad parang si mamu lang ang capt this season.

IMHO, Ravena is not an effective team captain. She is not even as good as the liberos of the other teams. Ang layo nya sa galaw, kilos at on-court presence ni Lazaro

Tough situation for the Blue Eagles. I think they have to sweep or maybe just have 1 loss this second round to at least enter the final four.

Team standings at the end of the first round:



UST is currently at 6-2 with their earlier win against Adamson via a 5 setter.
Ateneo is now in a triple tie with Adamson and UP at 4-4.
The Lady Eagle's won earlier against FEU Lady Tams, who's now at 1-7.
UE takes the bottom in the standing at 0-8 with their loss to UP earlier.

Eya's point stats helped by several 4 and 5 setters by UST, but still she's really having a good turn this season.




As a team, NU Lady Bulldogs displaying a cohesion nurtured by most of them playing together since high school.

NU Lady Bulldogs maintain their unblemished record at 8-0. Iba rin kasi ang bonding ng NU.





This relegates DLSU Lady Spikers to 3rd place at 5-3 behind UST Tigresses' 6-2.

The middles of the blue eagles are finally being utilized by maraguinot & fujimoto (well si fujimoto matagal na in-aactivate mids nila kaso hindi siya babad tulad ni jaja). Nabibigyan tuloy ng more room to strut their stuff sila faith, vannie, & erika.

miner will be a vital cog in the blue & white machine. She's a bit undersized in her position but her power & athleticism will make up for it. Medyo mahiyain pa siya but i reckon she'll be more aggressive as her career in vball progresses.

Si narit kelangan pa bumisita sa weights room kasi ang nipis. But she's finally proving her doubters wrong these past few games. Isa na ako doon [emoji16]
