start na pala bukas ang volleyall tournament. i think the teams to beat are nu and dlsu. it looks like ateneo is now in rebuilding mode. wala ako balita for the new faces although mga up front recuits balita ko 5'10 and above height. still relatively short though compared sa ibang fresh faces ng ibang koponan.

i wonder if jordan brand pa din ang jerseys ng blue eagles. btw, regardless of gender, lahat na daw ng teams ng ateneo ay tatawagin na blue eagles na. something to do w/ gender equality i reckon. iba na talaga ang ihip ng mundo ngayon... for better or worse.

speaking of the ildefonsos, ang laking pagkakamali talaga na hindi ni renew ng nu management ang kontrata ni danny i. as part of their bulldogs coaching staff. nag transfer tuloy ang magkapatid na dave and sophia sa loyola heights.

It's either napagod ang UP sa laro nila with Ateneo or they came into the game against La Salle with a false sense of security. Looks like shades of the Adamson squad that stopped Ateneo's sweep bid in 2011.

^Carl Tamayo didn't play well. Nahirapan sila sa swarming defense ng DLSU. Poor outside shooting UP.
Maganda coaching ni Pumaren. Parang pagod din ang UP after game against Ateneo. Pero bukas Friday laro na ulit do or die.

Up invested well in coach gold monteverde. He came at a premium since he was lured away from hans sy's nu bulldogs. His stable of former high school baby bulldog champs w/c he brought along to diliman doesn't come w/o a price too. Now, let's see if upmbt's huge investment pays off w/ immediate results later on.

The key stat for Game 1, imho, was that DLSU outrebounded UP 51-35. Given the size of the Maroons' frontline, a 46% disparity is way below expectation.

mahina talaga ang team ngayon. butas ang net defense dahil maliliit ang setters. alam ko may fil-am sila na narecruit from hawaii kaso hindi ata nakahabol or something. although hindi naman din ata katangkaran. tapos iyong isa pang fil-am recruit na magaling pinili mag team manager na lang ng tennis team.

Yeah finally! Hope this would give confidence to the girls for the coming matches.

After seeing Devastator’s post, I checked the highlights of the game betweenDLSJ & UST, ganda nung game! All 5 sets were close! Then yung 5th set, 12 na yung La Salle then nag 6-0 run ang UST to win the game! Ngayon pa lang I’d say this might be the best game of the season.
