I think there's an internal problem in the feu sports program because 2 of their women volleyball stalwarts suddenly left the team midseason. They were also said to be turning pro too.

And besides, sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, i guess abarrientos decided to strike while the iron is hot. He's turning 23 in 3 months' time so pwede na talaga siya makapag decide kumita ng substantial habang presumably naka- enroll sa distance learning program ng choice of school niya.

Well most, if not all schools , have already scratched out several of their sports program because funding has grown scarce due to the pandemic. So it's not farfetched to assume that the costly athletics department of educational institutions got downsized significantly (and probably the money for purposes like this will get nipped some more) .

So yezzir, money indeed talks and it talks loudly in turbulent times like these.

Kung A.B.

So long as may contrata sila doon, hindi na yun aalis

Babalik nalang ang mga yan sa PBA either as coaches or coaching staff. And manage the businesses they set up with their overseas earnings.

I think there's nothing wrong grabbing on the opportunity.

It's the name of the game now. Get as much money as fast as you can.

To hell with loyalty and pride. You can't eat that.

Agree, wala naman usapan na hindi pwede umalis eh.

Tsaka if yan puhunan mo, talagang limited window of opportunity talaga, need to take advantage. One gruesome injury could all make it go away. Papano fallback kung hindi mayaman pamilya or matalino/magaling na pwede maging successful sa business/corporate life.

Yeah like sa US sometimes hindi tinatapos ang college, then apply na sa draft.

    But Abando’s different no?

Nagcommit sya na he’s staying in Letran for another year para sa 3peat.

Sobrang sought after nya overseas, plus he’s the best collegiate player now.

Ano kaya inoffer sa kanya ni Alfrancis?

Then his handlers might not doing what's best for him, unless nga tinapatan yun offer.

Advance congratulations to NU for winning the WVT crown.

Your long 68-year wait is over.

    NU is in good company:

Hmmm which of those unbeaten teams would come out the winner if they met?

Ang mahirap dyan, first year pa lang lahat ng NU stars. Matagal pa sila magre-reyna sa UAAP.

    Hard to say.

But definitely, for me, Ateneo's path was the hardest. The no. 1 team, DLSU, had a 3x to beat advantage and a lot of their players are even the idols even of this present NU squad.

Most, if not all, of the games of Ateneo were do-or-die so the consistent mental toughness needed was at another level.

So who would win if these 3 are going to be pitted against each other? I would put my marbles on the team with the mental toughness and that would be Ateneo
