Ateneo is probably the only team that moves the ball around like this. Basic, no frills basketball. Gilas, are you watching this?

I honestly think UP needs a better coach.
They have the right players now. But the playmaking system (if there is any) is not good. UP probably has the worst half court plays right now. They have good defense most of the time though.

Give Bo Perasol his chance this season. Anyway, napaabot niya sa Finals ang UP last time. I agree the defense has improved that's why they have been able to catch up with other teams. But I also think Paras needs to help in rebounding. Parang ayaw niya makipagrambulan sa loob for those rebounds. Imagine if he can be a 20-10 guy.

    THIS.

Was surprised that he got a job soon after his ateneo stint.
He is a slightly better version of bong dela cruz. Hehe

    up frat politics.

whichever frat holds the purse in the affairs of the up men's basketball team, they have the final say in running the squad.

There is a reason Tab Baldwin was a former PH national coach and Bo is a former Ateneo coach.

I like Bo - he was there post Benjie era - when the Maroons were not winning anymore.

But coaching wise, he is levels below Tab.

Ang problema - sino naman papalit?

A friend of mine said UPMBT has a Php20m this year - Ateneo has Php80m. Baka sa foreign training lang ng UPMBT ubos na yung 20 million. Wala na pansahod sa magaling na coach.

UP should explore getting Euro coaches this early.

Ust is dangerous from 3. Anyone can hit it
Feu was in the lead for the most part of the first half then crumbled on the 2nd half.

NU finally on the win column today with a convincing win over FEU. They could have been 3-4 wins by now.

Ateneo having a hard time in the first half against UE, then finally getting their acts together & poured it on in the 3rd qtr & never looked back.

DLSU & UP in a nail bitter! Down 2 with few seconds left, UP with a steal, & JGL with a gutsy 3 pointer to give UP a 1 point advantage & eventually the win!

patalo talaga si iron coach. his antics only serve as distractions to his young team. maswerte lang talaga siya he's a crony of bong tan.

The DLSU-UP game could have gone either way, but La Salle just failed to capitalize in the end by throwing wild passes and bungling their ft's. On the other hand UP needed this one because they face Ateneo on Sunday and ending the first round with a 2 game losing skid (but who knows what might happen on Sunday) isn't in their agenda.

Lawrence Tiongson? Why? I don’t follow their games.

the way he outrageously prances and gesticulates court side only puts more pressure on his wards.

and if i'm not mistaken, ue committed 4 unsportsmanlike fouls earlier today. that says a lot about his cavalier approach to the game.

undoubtedly, controversy follows the iron coach at every coaching stop he makes.

He claims Joe Silva was only a figure head coach since he was really the one calling the shots though he is only the consultant.

UP’s defense was nonexistent, all individual offense oriented. UP should look for another coach.

On paper, the vast amount of talent within the UP roster should be enough to guarantee a championship.

Unfortunately, not within the Tab Baldwin era.

The deficiency is clearly at the coaching front. Had Ayo or Topex been coaching UP, the Maroons would have been far more competitive than their showing yesterday.
