Close win by Ateneo! Why was the game in the morning pala?

The UAAP scheduled three games on Wednesdays so as to finish the tournament as well as the other first sem sports before the SEA Games begin.

Good test for Ateneo. UST also performed to expectations.

But in the end, only one team will win and Ateneo was steadier in the end game

    GO ATENEO! OBF!

    FABILIOH!

In this game now of UP vs AdU, may play ba ang UP? Parang lahat ng posession nila individual play.

kaya nga iso bo ang tawag ko jan kay perasol.

he's just wasting the gifted players he has w/ up, much like what he did when he was the man at the helm of the talent laden blue eagle squad of 4-5 seasons ago.

Paras, de Liano bros., Rivero, Brite. These are very talented players who would be an asset in any team. But what UP of last year had that this current team doesn’t have is a “leader”, a Paul Desiderio. Paras is nice to watch, but is too much of an individual player. Someone has to step up to take the lead.

I would have thought nga Rivero would make it "his team" to lead.

This is probably the worst start of La Salle in years.

At this point, I have no qualms with Paras taking a lot of shots because UP doesnt really have good half court plays.
Kung hindi pa mag lakas loob na dumarive papasok si Paras, walang mangyayari.

Isa pa, UP players should hone their mid and long range shots. Kais ang Ateneo, pag open talagang papasok ang tira.

On a bright note, I like Spencer's defense and Murrell's hustle. Tungcab is still my favorite kasi parang kiti kiti na hindi napapagod.

Seems like rivero took a backstep.
He was unstoppable during his lasalle days.
Now he seems to be a little lost at times. I say he is being exposed.

Being too deferential, I think. Won't look for his shot, even if the team needs for him to take it.

Bo Perasol needs to maximize this UP squad's talent. Sayang.

You said it. If UP crashes this year after their stellar showing last year, that would be Bo’s fault. They are relying too much on Paras. Rivero & Paras have similar plays, to take it to the basket. Kaya lang, Paras seems to be hogging it mostly. Sayang talaga.

maybe paras is dead set in assuming the leadership mantle vacated by desiderio. he's got the skills, and apparently, the mouth for it too.

Naku, mahirap yun. Jordan did that when he started in the NBA. Led everyone in stats but tasted his first of many championships when he became a team player. Drawing all the defense on him and passing off. Paras is like “gimme the ball & I’ll score” mentality. That is not team play.
