I think it will be a better match in the finals FEU vs ADMU. mag showbiz na lang si teng and AVO. mga bwisit! they don;t need to attend the badaf event dahil na moved na eh, meron na nga important game the next day sasama pa...mga gago. to think he was just discharged from the hospital prior to the badaf event...

mabuti nga, sana talo agad sa FEU

Kaasar nga eh. Wag naman sanang matalo sa FEU. But hey, if they play another one like this, they deserve the quick exit.

DLSU Team Manager Terry Capistrano supposedly confronted FEU Coach Nash Racela after the game -- as Nash approached the DLSU bench for the usual endgame handshakes.

I wonder what prompted that. Sad.

Di pa tapos laban. May next game pa Saturday. If FEU wins, pasok na sa finals. Pag kalaban nila Ateneo sa finals, sana di na makialam si Montinola. Mas interesting Ateneo vs NU. Ateneo has not won against NU so far this season. Ateneo needs just a win. May chance pa for the dream finals of DLSU vs ADMU.

Anton Montinola, a die hard Atenean, owns FEU. The last championship game of FEU vs Ateneo, Ateneo won that & there was talk of Montinola giving team orders for his team to lose. Halata rin nung game. Umiyak mga players. Panahon nila Arwind Santos. During Ateneo games, he sometimes watches, in blue of course.

Gusto ko itong Ateneo-NU match up.

Ateneo will go into this game wanting to prove something and for sure, mas less kampante sila compared to kung UE ang kalaban.

    Bawian na!

    GO ATENEO! OBF!

Panahon ni Arwind Santos, Ateneo (lead by Rich Alvarez, LA Tenorio and Wesley Gonzaes) lost to FEU in the finals (2003). Maraming Atenistang nakukupalan kay Montinola. Try to look up the case of Jerie Pingoy on the side.

Final 4 na. Ateneo will have a hard time against NU who beat them in both elim games and i do hope they did not getr rusty from over a week of waiting out for their next game.

Then must have been after Arwind's time. I remember that issue did happen. Looking forward to tomorrows game. Ang tingin ko lang, the match up is between the coaches, and luck of course.

Baka panahon ni Norman Black. There was one year that FEU was top seeded while Ateneo was not even considered a finals contender (the 3rd championship i think) then ADMU swept FEU in the finals (no-contest). Back then, FEU had a better team on paper but the coach (Black versus was it Glenn Capacio?) factor put Ateneo in good favor when they entered the finals. Heck the team now seems to have more talent then what Norman Black had in that year but they played more steadily and consistently because of discipline and good player rotation. I agree, malaki talaga ang coach factor when you think of going for all in the season and when you talk of a sports program.

Ateneo really has to put in more defense in the system IMO and play heads-up b-ball the whole game. Ampch, they can't rely on allowing the opposing team to score the lights out up to the half of the 4th quarter then play heroic catch-up.

Malakas depensa nang NU at malalaki din kaya hindi dapat magpalamang ang ateneo sa opening pa lang. Mahirap habulin ang team na ganyan. Sana maka-adjust na sila.

i have to respectfully disagree w/ this bro because i think the the 5peat years were products of the solid norman black system and more importantly, superior talents executing that system.

it's almost always overlooked that justin chua, nico salva, tonino gonzaga, and ryan buenafe were coach norman recruits. except for buenafe, all the other names i mentioned were the core of the valuable 5 successive rings under the black magic system. those marquee college players were undoubtedly heads and shoulders above - build and skills wise - the present crop of blue eagles; w/ the exception of kiefer ravena , of course.

that's why i sometimes feel for bo perasol whenever he's being compared to coach norman's successes (although some criticisms are valid). since last season, coach bo has been making the best of the players and circumstances he was and still is, being dealt with. like i said earlier, at the start of the season, nobody even mentioned the words final 4 and ateneo in the same breath and the reasons for this is obvious: the team is small and the collective talent is above average at best

besides, this loose talk about montinola kowtowing to the basketball aspirations of the blue and white is simply outrageous. i mean, where was this gossip when the blue eagles were struggling last season? where was this accusation when jerie pingoy was (and still is) at the receiving end of the ire of morayta - resulting to the repeated denial of the poor kid's request for his release papers? talk about rumor mongering
