If I remember it correctly, the final score was 83-78. ADMU.

Pero lakas ng USTE. It's just that ADMU gets their game going once the 2nd half starts, and from there, they hardly miss any shots. Yung USTE naman umalat nung third. Nung fourth na sila naka-bawi, but it wasn't enough. ADMU was still on fire.

The game was great. Wasn't boring at all.

    Kelan ba Game 2?

ewan ko ba kay coach pido. it makes me scratch my head the way he's trying to manipulate public sympathy for his team by pandering to the "kawawa naman" mentality some pinoys have plus he's also making an attempt to stir the patriotism of our countrymen by pointing out the roots of coach norman. parang soap opera ang gusto mangyari

If its a foul it should be called, even though it won't change the outcome of the game, kasi may time pa naman nung na foul si teng. Iba kasi mindset ng players kung nakita nila its just a two point win ( turo sa amin ni Coach Ato ). And the abdul foul cost UST alot, kahit all ball yun tapik. The problem I notice with Philippine refs is they always anticipate the foul.

Although I agree dapat may free throws yung sa end game, dami din kasi non-call sa kabila esp yung last lay-up ni tiongson which would have made it - possibly - a three-point play. It would have changed the game altogether as well.

Kung nagkamali ng tawag,- put it behind..... call the next plays objectively...

Marami tayong mga kababayan,- kapag nagagalit,- napapa-Ingles...

Huwag naman sanang i-suspinde si Pido sa Game2... Sayang ang thrill ng championship... Dapat, buo ang 2 teams....

Case in point is the sean elliot play where his heels was over the outside line but not touching it when he hit the three point shot. I ask a referee/friend of mine kung kaya sa atin ito, inamin niya inaanticipate yun mangyayari kaya sure daw siya na stepping ang ipipito kahit di pa umapak sa line.

I don't know what's the big fuss about pido's ranting, is it bec THE Ateneo Ang kalaban?

Part yan ng pagiging coach...blame everybody especially the referees.

I agree with sweet, masyadong OA mga referees Dito Sa atin kahit yun mga nasa PBA pa...

Masyadong takot na hinde tumawag ng foul, trigger happy pumito...it's a championship for petes sake let the players play...

Kaya pagdating Sa international tournament eh umiiyak mga players natin at pikon eh..kasi maysaodng bina-baby Dito...

It's more of because he's been ranting too much about the getting the bad calls without taking into account the stats of the game which really points the calls generally favoring UST:
    - Ateneo had 12 FTs, UST had 26 (malas nalang nila as UST missed a lot of those FTs).
    - In the 4th quarter, Ateneo was in the penalty w/8mins left and 3 key players had 4 fouls (Slaughter, Ravena and Buenafe).

If there's anything that made UST lose, it's that Pido did not do anything much to stop an Ateneo rally in the 3rd quarter and they failed to capitalize on all the free throws given to them. Ateneo also takes a lot of uncalled hits and the coaches will naturally rant but after the game, Coach Norman Black is a sport about it, not to take anything away from players and fans of the winning team.

Here's a nice shot of a "manipis na foul" which was never called against Abdul:

And here's another shot which was called against Slaughter:

Anyway, Pido was reprimanded already i think and thankfully there was no suspension since that would have tainted the series and the season even more. It's time both squads look forward and prepare for an intense game 2. Expect UST to come out with hot hands and guns blazing.

That is a very good development.

Hawa namang sabihin ng mga tao na kaya nag-Champion ang ADMU ay dahil na-suspinde si Pido....

Good luck to both UST and ADMU teams.

Both deserve to be playing in this year's UAAP Championship.

Taas pa siguro ng ratings ng UAAP dahil sa Pido-Norman drama.

Yes, both teams definitely are giving a good run in the finals.

Or,- puwede ring strategy ni Pido na magalit ng todo and in public,- to rally UST for the Championship push...
