Exciting ba? because ang daming team ang nagpalakas ng todo especially NU Bulldogs tapos yung karamihan ng laro sa MOA Arena pa gagawin.

Makukuha kaya ng ADMU ang 5-peat nila?

    bakbakan nanaman

glori-5 ang battle cry ngayon ng ateneo

btw, here's the vid of the event w/ the same name as this season's battle cry w/c launched the campaign of the blue eagles over the weekend. the current crop of blue eagles went against the former kings of the loyola heights roost (racela, villanueva, escalona, et al) :

UE holds the longest reign in the UAAP with 7 straight titles from '65-71. (halos sabay nila ang UCLA Bruins). UST, DLSU and ADMU all have 4-peat titles to their name.

intact pa ba lineup nla? Baka tanong na lang dito, sino makakalaban ng ADMU?

Matatluhan kaya kaming mga taga FEU?

He is. The starting 5 will probably be:

    C - Slaughter
    PF - Salva
    SF - Buenafe
    SG - Ravena
    PG - Gonzaga

Quite strong offensively but the lack of a defensive stopper might mean Black opts to have Buenafe be the 6th man and bring in a more defensive player in his place.

i think either oping or juami will be inserted into that starting 5, judging from some of the preseason games. but my guess is oping will be doing the opening chores in the 3 position due to his defense and his hustle. now, if sumalinog can only get that awesome confidence back (pre acl) then the guys will have a real perimeter and slicing threat on the floor

but i'm more intrigued if coach bo perasol has already affixed his signature on the coaching contract that the ateneo has prepared for him. if he already has, then he has his work cut out for him because he'll be required to sit on the bench this season for a seamless transition from this tournament to the next as team insiders have said. i'm sure one of the things he'll be wary of is the army of critical basketball mirons the school has produced over the years

NU is leveraging their hosting of this season quite well. They scheduled the games strategically by giving Ateneo a gruelling sched prior to facing the bulldogs.

It may end up backfiring as ADMU actually needs the practice.

UAAP: Tams gut out win anew, trump Archers late
    July 22, 2012 4:17pm

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws held the De La Salle University Green Archers to just two points in the final five minutes of the game, en route to a 48-46 win, Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, in the 75th season of the UAAP.

A pair of Jovet Mendoza charities with 5:23 left to play gave the Archers a 44-41 lead, but a 4-0 burst by the Tams gave them a one-point advantage before Norbert Torres' pair of free throws, 1:43 left.

RR Garcia managed a split at the line to tie the game, 1:27 remaining on the clock, then on the next play, a crucial turnover by Almond Vosotros gave the ball back to the Tams.

Off a timeout, FEU head coach Bert Flores inserted Mike Tolomia, and on an isolation play against rookie Jeron Teng, nailed a jumper with 47.6 seconds for the go-ahead score.

Teng tried to make up for it on the other end, but missed. Then, Romeo missed a triple that could have clinched the game, but luckily, Arvie Bringas, a former DLSU Green Archer who transferred to FEU, got the repossession and the foul.

However, Bringas missed on the charities, which opened the door for DLSU to steal this late. Unfortunately for them though, Vostoros' attempt at a game-winner was too strong, allowing FEU to get the cardiac victory once more.

The Archers played without lead point guard LA Revilla, who was bothered by tendonitis.

La Salle suffered its first lost to go to 2-1, while FEU improved to 2-0. - AMD, GMA News

^ si tallo ang nagpatalo. ang tagal ng bola sa kanya nung dying seconds ng laro eh mainit pa naman kamay ni vosotros

on a positive note, natauhan ang mga bata ni coach norman. it looks like they've gotten their steely mindset back and refocused their eyes on the prize. i just hope their sights on the glori-5 won't waver so badly again.

    obf!
