A close win by La Salle today over UST, 74-71. Now, on to the Adamson game on Sunday.

So far Adamson has been the only contender against ADMU in the first round. I do expect a lot of adjustments to be made in the second round.

Pumaren has been quite disappointing. I have no idea why DLSU even got him since he did not even deliver for UE (with a strong line up at that) when he coached them.

    Pumaren kasi...

ganda ng laban between ADMU and FEU. ADMU was down by as much as 16 then came back to force overtime.

3 years ago a lot of pundits were saying that the rookie catch ateneo had was a bonanza because of mr ryan buenafe. but it turns out that a certain low profile recruit named nico salva coming out of sbc high has become arguably the steal of that batch.

so even though i think you're a bit papogi sometimes w/ your shot selections, sir - i still bow my head in reverence in your presence, mr salva.

win or lose, it's the school we choose!

So close, yet so far. That was what happened to La Salle kanina after trying to erase a 20+pt. deficit, Adamson simply had several clutch players.

Damn game... just when you thought wala na, Monfort goes and steals the ball. Romeo never knew what hit him.

I think the FEU basketball program is in disarray. They have good players but when you see them during the game, its not only Bert Flores barking out instructions, even Anton Montinola, Mark Molina and everyone else on the bench are barking out orders. Too many cooks in this case. They have strong guards who can drive in the shaded lane and go fishing or do a conversion but heck, they always choose to do a jump shot. Against Ateneo, thats one big difference between Ravena, Monfort, and Long versus Garcia, Romeo, etc... that's why AdMU also got more free throws. Only an idiot defender would repeatedly foul a jump shooter.

    * DLSU, so close... came short though. But heck thats a good show for the team. Save for Ateneo, the Final 4 is now wide open with FEU muffing up its last few games.

+100, it shows the team that is better coached and has better strategy. AdMU can still be better though.

Anyone catch the AdU vs. DLSU game yesterday? Just when you thought the Falcons will blow out La Salle, they come back and tie it 63 apiece on a 3 pt. shot by de la Paz. Nuyles won it for Adamson with his spin and jump shot over Tampus with 0.8 secs left in the clock. La Salle couldn't get a catch-and-shoot to go as time ran out.

Heartbreaker for DLSU. That win would have really brought the final 4 wide open for the number two spot.

i've read that insiders from the dlsu camp have stated that simon atkins and la revilla are doubtful participants in their next game against ue on sat. atkins is said to be still under observation after his head injury in their last game while revilla has been having problems w/ his blood sugar levels lately. hopefully they have a speedy recovery

We were already wondering on how Revilla deals with his condition given his performance and contribution to the team. It will all just catch up with him.
