Depends on your type of foot biomechanics (alignment) and your running purpose.
If for everyday jogging/running then you need good shoes that have good midsoles (cushion).
If your previous shoes are twisted inward or outward then you need good ankle supports or what they call counters.

If for competition , the lighter the better.

Nike has a general problem with prolonged storage, their midsoles crumble.

newton is a good pair of running shoes but it's not yet locally distributed here in the phils...there is this new sports store near UP diliman which caters to running...the name is Second Wind...you can even have your gait analysis(computerized) for free so you can decide on which running shoes fits you...Hector the owner is very knowledgeable when it comes to running shoes..highly recommend to visit this store

So far Saucouny shoes are the best running shoes for me. Walang sinabe yung mga nike. Asics would come a close 2nd. They have specific shoes for different strides

Adidas, when I was still active in running. I used to run 20 k and training to go for a full marathon when injuries prevented me.

Now, I just walk. He he he . . .
