veed - kung daily commuting i would advise you to get something faster than a mountain bike, but a little more versatile/tougher than a roadbike. problema sa MTB is they have relatively small-diameter wheels, so it's a lot of effort for a relatively short distance traveled. i would get something with like a 32" wheel.

kung hindi ka naman racer, you don't need the aggressive form and set up of a "pure" roadbike either.

may Trek dealer ba sa SG? they offer some really good bikes called "FX (hybrid)", and "Urban". those are ideal for urban commuting. you can even get the bike they sell to police forces :police:

kung wala, there is a Taiwanese company called Giant who has some really good products too. i also like Cannondale, but they're overpriced for what you want from the bike...

    i agree.
    nice move.
it could've been better, though, i.e., "wider".

You only have to push the bike, you don't ride it. Its the same in other countries like Japan. Beats physically carrying the bike up and down the stairs.

yespo, i understand that one does not ride it while pushing it up, but
it's still easier, if the ramp were wider.
not all cyclists are lance armstrong-like, in their command of the two-wheeler.

but i guess we'll just have to wait a while, for user feedback.

Just enough is better. Making it widerrrr makes pushing more difficult because the front wheel has the tendency to wiggle/slide which is not what you want lalo na kung madulas like after a rain or drizzle.

Wala naman ata nagcocommute na fatbike ang gamit eh.

Yeah, the narrowness makes it easier to control as the wheel is like its on rails instead of going all over the place.
