Bike shops are thriving. Pati sa surplus nagmahal ang mga japanese foldies. From 3.5k nasa 5 to 5.5k na ngayon. Parts din like interior and exterior nagtaas ang prices.

in the 60s, motorized (gas engine) bikes ("velosolex") were popular.
will they make a comeback in the local market?

    as i remember back then,
"gasoline engined bikes whose displacement was less than xx cc, were not required to be LTO-registered.

The trend is now on electric motors. There are conversion kits being sold at Lazada and Shoppee.

    just bought Decathlon's TILT 120

I think we left Decathlon with a 17K bill kasi we also bought a front rack, helmet and rain coat.

    so far, ok naman.

doing a lot of research about this.

yes, iba ang "dating" if we buy a Brompton (as a 2nd bike) - mga friends ni misis uses this bike

pero looks like better value ang Garcia.

    naisip ko lang...

If I buy a 6 speed folding bike overseas, tapos masira yung gears nya. can I buy any 6-speed cassette and rear derailleur to have it replaced?

di naman talaga para sa lahat ang Brompton...

pero the reason we have one is portability.

if saame weight sya sa regular sized gravel bikes, then parang ang hirap ijustify yung cost of buying one.

Pinas setting tayo, so sure ako na may car din mga Brompton users

... there are clones selling for a fraction of the price of the original...
but personally, i like the original under my seat, even as it costs half the market value of my 2003 altis...
