A little OT: Pareho lang ba ng seats yung bikes and stationary bikes? Maybe someone can recommend a durable extra wide seat. A portly relative won't exercise because the seat is too narrow for him. Don't want to take my chances with the ones in Lazada/Shopee. Baka masira lang agad.

Why not try a Gel saddle cover, sir?

A cover won't cut it bro. I'm doubting even an extra wide seat will suffice. Unfortunately, not a lot of other options for him. Swimming is better for his frame, but until this pandemic is over, not an option.

Bro, i’ve been watching some vlogs in youtube. For bike accessories, quiapo has been the center. Madami na din bumibili ng cheap MTB. In fairness, they look good for a regular cyclist and mura na talaga. Though yun “group set” mediocre lang halos.

Super uso na ngayon mga China na frames tapos kung anu anong specs for the groupset. Pinakacommon yung Trinx.

Dati people were still particular about the brands - Giant, Merida, Specialized, Cannondale, Santa Cruz, etc. Orig frames from these bike brands were usually lighter than generic/counterfeit counterparts.

In a way because of proliferation of Chinese bikes, they have gotten more accessible for more people.

Because of ECQ, have also started biking more regularly, after a 3 year hiatus.

Merida TFS 1000, XT shifters, SLX 2x10 groupset, SLX disc brakes, Epicon fork, MT55 wheelset, Kenda tires. 24 lbs total weight IIRC.

    Nice bike bro [emoji1362]

Ako din since no badminton, “urban biking” almost on a daily basis using my surplus foldie. I do weekend long bike rides na pang 30kms muna hehe. Next month planning of biking 50kms kaso mas ma effort because of the small 20” tires [emoji16]

May vlog ako napanood ang featured budget model is “foxster”. Meron din “betta”. Those are really cheap MTBs though some are using old Shimano group sets like the Tourney series hehe

Trinx, China din yan. Tronix, diyan nagpiprint ng ID pictures.

Giant is a good brand, the largest bike manufacturer in the world. Based in Taiwan.

    ok.

    but i have always wondered,
bakit ang-liliit ng mga rear lights ng bisikleta? kadalasan pa ay reflector lang...
i mean, it's LED season now. batteries won't be overwhelmed, even if the lights get bigger...

    ^ aesthetics?

Theoretically, they're enough to make the bike visible at night because of the blinking brightness they emit i'm guessing.

But personally, i use 2 units of red rear blinkers on my behind. One is screwed on the bike's batalya and the other is clipped on my helmet.

Hopefully, together w/ the rear reflector, they're enough to dissuade motorists from banging me up.

do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do
