well, on the bright side, those of us with memphis studs on our fantasy teams will get more production...hubie's platoon substitution strategy basically made sure no one got enough minutes to become a star :D

I guess the real question for Lebron is whether he lets his success get to his head, and whether he takes care of his body.

Michael Jordan, John Stockton, Karl Malone are the prime examples of players taking care of their bodies as a result they had long and productive careers.

Hey now, don't just disregard what Robert Parish did and how long he stayed on the league. :D

one of the all time great coaches IMO.

His departure news conference lasted 50 minutes as Brown praised the fans, West, and his players. He told his team of his decision before they left for Minnesota.

\"I told them you have regrets when you do this. My biggest regret is that I didn\'t meet them (his players) when I was in my 40s and 50s because I had more to give than I do now because I was more alert, more astute, more observant and I saw more,\" Brown said, \"and I apologized to them because I met them too late in my life.\"

I guess players today lack that dedication to physical conditioning, am not saying they are out of shape but they lack that decication and willingness to sacrifice. Prime examples (superstars)? Shaq comes to mind, as well as Vince Carter

Coach Hubie was indeed one of the great minds of basketball, I really enjoyed watching games when he was the analyst, cuz he breaks the down game to the point that you understand how the play works and why coaches use that play. I hope he returns to his old job.

you guys see any raptors games this year?

i was watching vince carter play and lost what little respect i had for him. the guy is obviously dogging it, not giving any effort on D, shooting whenever he gets the ball but not doing anything else...pouting on the bench.

he's obviously playing to get traded. it's funny because you catch his teammates looking at him like they want to kill him

let's just call him "Vinsuckity" or "Half man, half ass job"

even on his top form, I never like Vince Carter... sure he is flashy and have some moves but I usually watch T-mac when they were still toghther, w/c to me is more hardworking....

looks to me that VC doesnt have any dedication, commitment and extra effort to push himself and the team to make it better. He's just a plain egoistic superstar who will just come-by in NBA....will not last long if he doesnt change his attitude IMO....

pero he does have some hops. remember the dunk in the 2000 olympics over the 7-4 center? DAMN!

  15. #1955
Ah that guy Vince dunked on was Frederick Weiss, he's 7-2 an ex-Knick.

Yeah he's still got the hops but after his knee injury, he's lost some of his explosiveness and medyo unorthodox yung ibang moves niya. He also no goto move that the greats have. I'd still pick Lebron over Vince anytime even in his "prime".

looks like vince wants to be traded. he's been in toronto all his pro life and probably wants to play for a team which can have a legitimate shot at the title.

  18. #1958
He already had his chance in the playoffs but blew it. Toronto signed long term deals to Antonio Davis and Alvin Williams, as well as Junkyard Dog, but it didn't pan out because Carter is not a leader. He'd be better of as a second banana ala Pippen

Reviewing the dunk that made Vince Carter famous; he didnt fly as high as I expected it to be. May daya yung lipad niya. He pressed the shoulder part of Weiss and Weiss in return slouched down. His head is not as high as Jordans "kiss the rim dunk" and "free throw line jump" or Lebrons thunder jam vs. the PIstons. Lebron James is the only player that I saw that can dunk the ball between his legs "Kobe's famous winning dunk" during a game. He is like a morphed version of Dr. J and Magic Johnson with a little touch of his Airness.
