what about the battle of coaches? will this matter?

jackson is the winningest coach (tied with auerbach) but brown is considered the best coach (though w/o an nba title, yet).

i honsetly think that the Spurs were the toughest ballclub for the Lakers this playoffs. the spurs had defense written all over them, which I think is equal to or at times better than pistons "d". tas may tim duncan pa sila then ginobili, parker - who is as agile as hamilton, tas andami pa shooters sa spurs like ginobili, hedo, bowen....

    Here's my analysis:

    CENTER:
Advantage: BEN WALLACE. Mas astig kasi buhok niya kesa kay Shaq.

    POWER FORWARD:

    bwehehehehe

    ok seriously now.

Karl Malone is just a defensive player nowadays. If he can tame (operative word, NOT CONTAIN, just tame) Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan, what more with Rasheed Wallace. Besides, have you watched Rasheed shoot the ball lately? Wala ngang bantay hindi pumapasok e.

Ben Wallace, as good as he is on D, still needs help on the defensive end on O'neal. Seriously, he hasnt guarded ANYONE nearing O'neal's body strength in the EAST. And IF Shaq is in the mood, he's as good as Wallace on the defensive end.

yes tama! defense will win u championships.

pero when ur looking at LA(offense team) against Detroit(defense team). Defense wont win.

Detroit is averaging what? 70 pts a game? yan eh kung sinuswerte na si R.Wallace sa jump shots eh. but besides R.Hamilton, wala na ibang consistent sa offense nila.

LA. Playoff low na nila ang 70 pts!

IMO, Kobe's the man to watch pag di nila na contain si kobe tapos sila agad.

But i'll got for DETROIT in 6.

Everyone is hoping their mini-dynasty will be ended by Detroit.

``Of course they are,'' O'Neal said. ``Everyone wants to see us falter. I just think that sometimes they think that we're the Yankees of baseball. ... We know what it's going to take. We're not going to walk on this team by any means. We have to do what we're supposed to do. I'm always supposed to win.''

Shaq is the most dominant player!!!!

i still believe that defense can win championship, kita mo Dallas, san na napunta...

Only casual basketball fans would seriously believe that LA is all offense and no defense.

Just ask Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Rasho Nesterovic, Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen about LA's defense.

Defense wins championships? That's just sooooo cliche! Nasobrahan ata kayo ng kakapanood kela Quinito Henson at Andy Jao.

What wins championships is the ability to deliver the goods when you need it where you need it.

The goods im talking about may be offense one day, may be defense the next. It may be that crucial block, that fantastic steal, or that buzzer beating three pointer!!!

Dont worry guys, its typically Pinoy to push for the underdog, and I dont blame you hehe.

LA in 5! Care to bet on that, anyone?

^ i agree...LA plays good defense, it's just effort and focus that they sometimes lose - often for 10 entire games at a stretch.

btw, i don't think i've seen kobe as good as he was in the last 4 games of the SA and the whole wolves series. instead of selfish freelancing, he would establish shaq in the paint, and once shaq had the full-time double team, he'd shred the defense on the perimeter, or find open teammates for 3-pointers.

LA in 5? no way! six pwede pa... pero once mag 3-3 sila ng pistons, pwede sila madisgrasya... im not a lakers fan, ayoko nga sila eh... pero bow ako kay kobe... pucha! ang galing niya talaga... pati kay phil jackson, magaling talaga siya magcoach...

agree with you PK about the whole package of the team.

LA is known for its tenacious defense, kobe is a terrific defender just like MJ, Shaq patrols the paint, payton is not known as the GLOVE for nothing and Malone probably the best PF ever in NBA history.

but sometime they dooze off, they relax.

in the detroit-pacers series, detroit only scored 9 points pero they held the pacers with in a single digit also.

somebody aside from RIP must step-up for detroit.
