correct me if I'm wrong about this....but I think this is the first time coach Phil Jackson is down 0-2 in a championship series?....this would really test the Zen master's coaching skills if he could pull the Lakers out of this one....but still I think there's no stopping the Celtics winning it all after this series.

Since the inception of the 2-3-2 (home/away/home) finals format...only 2 teams have swept the middle games...2004 Pistons ( in which LA's last finals appearance and they lost that one ) and most recent the 2006 Heat...Will LA do a similar trend?

I think a lot of doubters were silenced with the recent wins by the C's over the Lakers. I've never bought into the idea that the Lakers will win this series easily (and that's a big IF) given Boston's lineup and its dedication to team defense. Still, the Lakers showed why it's offense can be scary with a 41 pt. 4th quarter (and Boston playing with complacency).

For LA to win in Game 3, Kobe must establish himself as alpha dog early in the game and try to get the C's frontline in foul trouble. Odom and Gasol can then take advantage of the smaller subs. I'd also like to see if they can pressure Rondo into making jumpshots as he is clearly passing them up.

Boston on the other hand, needs to keep up that defensive intensity and clog up the driving and passing lanes. I think they're more comfortable with having Kobe get his numbers and shutting down the rest of his teamates than having everyone involved. Ray Allen has to keep Kobe working hard on defense by looking for his shot.
